Voices broke through the crystallized walls of Rhapsody's ears as the vigorous roar of thunder rose up like the drums of war. Cries gave way to the ebbing throb of an unforgettable head ache soon followed by the omnipotent wail of a long awaited canon. Bleak light of nitrogen fixation erupted across the now emptying District Square as the Games claimed their final victim. Once more through sheer valor and nothing less than the purest force of survival, had a contender from the beating heart of work in district eleven had risen as the victor. Once more through the fall of scarlet kissed liquid both of District One's own tributes had lived their final moments. Not even a girl as ruthless as hell or a boy as cold as death could break the farmers' spree. History was being made and while Eleven and the Capitol celebrated all the other Districts were left to shudder in a chilling breeze of disbelief. This cruel way of getting by was life, this cruel campaign of forgotten souls was death, and these cruel reminders are the air of this Earth.

Rain battered down from the storming skies as Rhapsody's footsteps gargled in the shallow pools of water. Winter's winds whipped across Rhapsody's sodden clothes sending shrills down his spine. His breath broke through the forceful cold as its steam swirled briefly before vanishing once more. As Rhapsody ran through the storm like that which had closed his sister's games he felt his heart hammering rapidly. Blood rushed through every vein of his body as sweat surely mixed with the water that now drenched him from head to toe. Thankfully though the eerie light from a nearby bookstore whispered words of warmth and safety as Rhapsody grew ever closer.

Just as promised by the twinkling lights a wave of warmth twisted itself around Rhapsody's shaking body relieving him from the battle occurring just outside the walls. Silence welcomed Rhapsody as well as his water marked steps marched towards the games section of the marked shelves. Book after book filled every inch of Rhapsody's sight but each title was one that he already knew. Every mention of Seventy was read by his eyes already but alas every time he opened the same books. Every time he opened these books he found the same thing but every time he found Rhyme smiling back at him he felt is troubles soon dissipate.

Steps caused by a nearby girl drew Rhapsody's attention just barely away from his sister's page as he spotted the girl several shelves away. From just out of the corners of his eyes Rhapsody could see she seemed surprised to see him here. Then again he was surprised to spot any teenager in a store on a day such as this. Whenever a storm raged across the Capitol kissed streets of District One the careers would go excitedly off to the tracks for weather practice. However, Rhapsody was never a part of that crowd. He was a career of course but not one driven to be in the games. He was driven to survive and survive for Rhyme he would no matter what he had to overcome.

Eventually Rhapsody felt the presence of the stranger linger away to another section of the store and he felt his curiosity peaking ever so slightly. His teeth dug softly into his lower lip as he chose to shut his current book and follow the fellow book worm. When he finally found her again gazing through the adventure sections he couldn't help but meet this seemingly peculiar girl, yet he had to make some sort of notion to approach her. Luckily he was able to pick up a book he remembered to be quite the adventurers tale and chose to snatch it in his hands as he walked up the girl.

Once within the girl's range and vision he held the book out to her with only the smallest smile breaking through the shield of his normally solemn face.

"If you are searching for a good adventurous tale try this one. I read last Summer and I can say I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. However, I will admit it has a rather slow start."As silence once again rolled over the two strangers Rhapsody realized it was probably best to introduce himself before any more of their conversation materialized. "Oh by the way I am Rhapsody, Rhapsody Phoenix-Morales, its nice to meet you."

just remember who Rhyme Morales was.
