The wet sand finds it's way between my toes and the cool water washes over my feet. A small smile spreads across my lips, I'm actually happy here. I sit down in the sand, not caring if my clothes get dirty, there's plenty to replace them with at home. I reach for the washed up stick that's next to me and begin drawing patterns in the sand. I know people stare as they walk by, but I don't mind. They refer to me as that girl, the one who 'isn't quite right in the head'. I don't understand why, I'm perfectly fine. There's nothing wrong with me, nothing that I know of at least. They all seem to think so, but I think they're wrong. Just because I'm rather quiet doesn't mean I'm ill. And just because I might seem to be different than them doesn't mean that I really am. It's all perception, and if they really looked, maybe they'd realize that they're the strange ones. I lay back, resting my head in the sand. Patterned wings of different designs rest at my side, I'm not that different, I'm just my own type of angel. I know what they say about me, but it doesn't matter. We're all mad here.
