District Ten: Insurrection
The people of District Ten grow dissatisfied.
It is not merely the two coffins that return to them most years during the victory tour, for far more of their citizens have been killed in the district the past year than have died as tributes in all the Hunger Games combined.
Trampled by livestock, shot by Peacekeepers, wasting away from starvation and disease - the list only went on. But the people were and had always been expendable, as long as the Capitol got its quota of veal and bacon and juicy, perfect steaks. And it was a perversion of the vast tracts of land and self-sufficient District culture, that ultimately they were not any more free than the cattle they drove and tended and slaughtered.
They had obeyed for far too long, and gotten nothing for their trouble except sneering looks and growling stomachs and wretched, shortened lives. But the District could do better - the laborers, armed with pitchforks and strong from working the fields, far outnumbered the Peacekeepers, and through whispers here and there one could sense the undercurrent of uneasiness that ran through the district. The only problem was that no one wanted to stick their head out, taught to work hard and be compliant and learn to be satisfied with what they were given, as if all that was keeping them from being happy was a negative attitude.
But there is no sign their situation will change for the better any time soon, and often it is better to fight for the hope of an improvement than spend a lifetime languishing and afraid, always asking "what ifs" and hoping someone else will stand up instead.

Looking for both rebel citizens and Peacekeepers to participate in an uprising in District Ten. Combat encounters will be done via dice roll; please note that this plot may result in your character getting arrested, tortured, or maimed. If you wish to kill off your character, you may do so as well. If you have any questions, feel free to send a PM to Lyndis, or ask in a reply to this thread.
