There was a castle in the sky. It floated above the entire world, gazing down upon the rest of us. It was a roaming haven that glided through the sky. She believed, that beyond the clouds, where the sun shone upon the blessed was a home she would one day find. Her music was just one aspect of her life that sought out that home, an elegant melody that sang it out, filled with rich and deep colours that played from her vary heart, they were an echo of the person she had once been as well as her dreams.

Each note she wrote was a sentiment and gift towards that future she aspired to claim. The room was completely empty, a single piano sitting towards the side, of a ballroom that was designed for the joy of life. In times of joy it was filled to the brim with bright clothing, and royal dresses, with men in stunning tuxedos. The music echoed throughout the room, violin's, cello's, a mixture of harmony so adequate you couldn't feel more alive.

Her fingers grazed the piano keys, a hand linger on a pencil as she gently hummed out the tune she intended to create.

Grace is something that only music can bring to dance. I expected to be alone in the music building, and instead, the tinkling of music reverbs through my ears. It isn't loud, but it's definitely skilled, more so than than I could imagine, like a swimmer from Four, alone in the open water. I feel the steps warming up through my legs, and want to go into pointe, and spin.

But spinning is a thought that stops the moment the music stops, and the stop is all but a second. It's not like it's some kind of classic that we dance towards in class, but a unique piece, and it's beautiful. A masterpiece, and painted into the sky like a master, or mistress' brush. I try and follow towards the noise, towards the lightness of beauty, to see the face of a musical god, and the grace of their fingers, saving my soul from the blood of a career.

It purifies me, and the moment I hear the melody flow like the first water in spring after the frozen river melts, I almost collapse from the weight of beauty. And it feels like there is but a door between the music and I. Push it open, quiet as a passing cloud in the sky, and I am the bird, controlled by the winds of music above. I am just a slave towards the body on the piano. And now, I spin like an animal in a hurricane.

The music was a sweet harmony that flowed through her veins, it encompassed each and every one of her movements, swallowing her whole until the entire world was built from her memory. Smiling softly as the colours begun to blossom around her she continued the song, feeling the rhythm beat through her body like her pulse. She lived for this kind of world, just as much as she lived for that castle that floated above her. One day she'd exceed this world and get there, where her music would take form and when she danced it would be there, guiding her steps, holding her hands with a touch so gentle you could question its existence.

There was a beauty in that world that she wished would flow into this one. And suddenly her humming stops and her music dies on my lips. The pencil clasped between her pale, long fingers hesitating over the page with the notes scrawled across it like magic. Then she turns, deep, brown eyes narrowing as she took in the form that had begun to take shape on the smooth, glossy floor before them. The dull tap of her feet on the ground echoed within the confines of the building. Eyes widened, as her pale lips parted to take in this sight that had eased her music to a halt.

"Who are you?" The soft spoken question an echo of her own music.

The echoing floor below my feet is the only thing that I hear, as the music ends, the quieting sound of piano edging away into voice, and a question. "Who are you?" And I want to shout, to reply, i am but a follower to the sound, a puppet controlled by your fingers, pressing the keys, hitting my strings. But I don't; can't hear the voice ring clear through my throat, and into the air. Nothing, but the exhale of air through nostrils, and the floor growing silent again from the remains of my steps.

No more am I a hurricane in a human form, I'm at home again, trapped by the watching eyes of my father, a disappointment. A padlock is what he holds, locking my feet in binds so I can never dance a step in music again. Bolt-cutters later, I was free once more. Now, under her eyes, those of a goddess, similarity is drawn. Stuck into a quagmire under her vision. "Tawny. Like an owl, in flight, drawn around by your music." I step towards her tensed up body, towards the piano. "And you?"
