As she moved into that room she stood in the centre, staring into the silence. It wasn't until the door shut behind her, the audible click of the lock being set into place, that she moved, flopping down onto the couch. It was nothing compared to the one at home, this one was silk, the material she hated the most of all. But then Scout honestly didn't like much. There was one person in the entire district that Scout loved more then herself and that was her twin brother; Kaiser. She couldn't remember back to a time in her life when he hadn't been by her side, they'd done everything together. The first time she'd kill a man he'd been there. She knew, as much as she hated to admit it, that whatever ache she would feel when she was gone, it would be for him.
Some part of her wished he could be going into this arena with her -but she immediately threw that idea away, if both of them were in only one could win. She snorted, Kaiser would probably, of the two of them, he had a better head on his shoulders. So it was better this way, she'd win these games and come home with a shiny crown on her head and they'd go back to how it was. There were a rare few times in her life where she felt affection or fondness, and it was no surprise that it was reserved entirely for Kaiser. A fond smile danced at the ages of her lips as she thought back to those memories.
Having a large family had its benefits, she doubted many of them would come to see her, if any, but that didn't bother her in the slightest. If it was the other way around she'd not waste her time on saying goodbye. There was only one person she was truly waiting for, and her patience was stretching thin. Jumping to her feet a scowl took its usual place on her face as she stormed towards the door. "Bloody hell! Where is h-"
Her growl was cut off as the door swing open, and the wood collided with her face. "Oh for fuck sake!" She snapped, a hand flying to her nose as pain spread across her face. But as soon as she caught sight of him, her scowl dropped and a smile found its way onto her lips, a smile as rare as a fire in the middle of the ocean. "Kaiser!" She exclaimed, before throwing her arms around his neck and pulling him into a tight hug.
