❥Caitir Bowman❥
It was another day at school, and once again, Caitir was completely stressed. She wanted to go home. She couldn't stand the partner work that she was being asked to do today. Having been told that she was to do a project on her 'favorite tribute from a past Hunger Games' was hard enough, seeing as she never liked watching the games, and therefore, tried to avoid paying any attention to them whatsoever. This meant that she didn't know very many of the tributes. Even worse, her Panem History teacher had added in that they would have to be working in pairs. Caitir didn't know anyone at all in her class, and therefore would be working with a complete stranger for this particular project.
They were to choose a partner, but there was no one who she knew any more than their name. Normally, in most of her classes, she'd have a friend or two that she would be willing to get herself to work with. This wasn't the case in this class, however.
As people began to pair up, already yapping away about their favorite tributes, Caitir was left without a partner for some time, until she realized that there was another student who wasn't paired up either. She didn't have a choice, and she knew she'd have to work with the last available student, whether she wanted to or not. At least, since she didn't know them, she'd never had a bad experience with them. Hopefully this would work out rather well for her, no matter how much she truly doubted it. Approaching the person, Caitir spoke up.
"Excuse me? she said, tapping on their shoulder. "Would you be willing to work with me on this project. I need a partner and I don't really know anyone in the class very well." she explained to them.
Am I too stupid to work with? Is that why no one chose me as a partner? Maybe that's the case. Maybe this person just won't like me. Maybe they'll think I'm not worth being a partner with for this project. Besides, I don't even have a favorite tribute... she pondered to herself.
Awaiting the response of this person, Caitir simply continued to make an attempt to think of a tribute that she actually knew of and had liked. If she had to be honest, the only tribute that she really knew of that she liked was from the current games, and her name was Carrita Nessage. Maybe she could convince her teacher to allow her and her potential partner to choose a tribute from the current games, if neither of the two of them could think of anyone that from past games that they wanted to do their project on. She certainly hoped so, as she didn't want to let her anxiety and lack of having a favorite tribute to make her fail a project that she was just assigned that day. She needed to do better, and didn't want to let this get in her way, as it usually did.
