-Age 16
-Male
-District 7
-Pansexual
-Pansexual
Appearance:
Linden has bright, round, blue eyes and light brown, messy hair that hangs to his jaw. He has a wide jaw and pronounced cheekbones and thin eyebrows. His mouth is wide, his lightly colored eyebrows are versatile, and his nose is somewhat stubby. He is never expressionless; emotions ripple over his face intensely and rapidly, as quickly as his mood changes. They aren't mild expressions either: his face is either alight with joy, or dark with fury, or desolately miserable. Linden is about 5 feet and 8 inches tall, and of sturdy, stocky build. If he plants his feet on the ground, it would be difficult to knock him over. He is generally wide. He has a wide chest and wide shoulders, and short, thick arms. He has wide hands and thick fingers which do not possess much dexterity, but form excellent fists when he wants them to.
His clothes have little variety. He wears serviceable, comfortable garments which he puts on with little regard for how they will look on him.
Personality:
He likes to have everything just how he likes it, and tends to be very bossy. He gets irritable when people don't listen to him or pay him attention. He inherited his parents' contempt for laziness and substandard-ness in other people and doesn't have much sympathy for people suffering from poverty. He loses interest easily, gets distracted and bored often. He's lazy.
Linden is temperamental and dynamic. His moods are intense and change quickly. One minute he will be extremely happy, cheerful and energetic, liable to pick someone up and spin them around if he hugs them. The next he could be furious, and people will know very quickly. He shouts and punches and breaks things.
It's easy to change his moods; anything can set him off. He's sensitive.
He is fiercely loyal and protective and will go to extremes to help his friends even more quickly than he will to help himself, which is saying something, because he's very defensive. He doesn't have any sense of delicacy and can be extremely blunt. He doesn't care much at all about anybody that he doesn't know.

History:
The Hale family was considerably well to do, and Linden was only child. His parents, owners of a successful, popular furniture business, were very busy, and though they said they loved Linden often, they never had time for him. Linden grew up with many, many toys, and a housekeeper to babysit him for 6 days of the week.
The housekeeper was kind and gentle and not very forceful, and Linden got in the habit of bossing her and everyone else around. He spent long days with her outside. He enjoyed himself thoroughly, when he wasn't missing his parents, and she was extremely stressed, trying to keep him out of trouble and from fighting with other children.
Part of the reason he's so bad at expressing his own feelings, though decent at figuring out those of others, is because when he was growing up, there wasn't really anybody who would sit and talk with him. The housekeeper would agree with anything he said, but she wouldn't really listen. She would just read her novels, and try to keep him out of trouble. His parents were never around. He had no siblings. He had antagonized a lot of the people his age around him. So he never had much practice, at speaking tactfully and delicately and thoughtfully. However, he had practice watching people and listening in on their conversations, especially the friends of his mother and father who would come to visit, which makes him okay at figuring out other people's emotions, but not his own.
He got into a lot of fights with kids in his class when he first started school. He wasn't used to people telling him "no," and was annoyed and upset easily. This meant that he never had many friends, which led him to be extremely happy about the ones he did have, leading to his loyalty and protectiveness for them.
Part of the reason he's so volatile is because he used to often act out in order to attract the attention of his parents, whom he sometimes felt had abandoned him.
