Personality:
Age: 42
Gender: Female
District/Area: Born in district 2 – currently stationed in District 7
Appearance:
Alexandra is tall enough to stand face to face with most of her male co-workers. She measures approximately 5 feet 10 and her shoes add even more of an height advantage over the common people in the districts. She has olive colored skin, which isn’t exactly flawless. To be more precise, she has scars on her arms and most noticeably, on her face. A scar starts on her forehead, piercing through her brow just a tiny bit. A second scar starts right next to her nose and splits ways on her cheekbone, ending on the middle of her cheek. The scars are wide and deep, with a red color in their center.
Her eyes are a dark olive green color and are lined by dark eyelashes. Her hair is dark brown, but the tips get a little lighter in the summer. She cuts her hair herself, always short and spikey. Her hair has the tendency to defy gravity and gets a little static when the air is dry or after she has worn her helmet for a while, resulting in an even more messy hairdo. Her mouth is quite wide and her lips are often dry, which causes little wounds. She bites her nails, tearing them of with her teeth.
Alexandra isn’t as young pretty flower anymore, even though she ever possessed extraordinary looks to begin with. She has reached her relative peak in appearances years back and is now on the decline. Wrinkles are appearing on her already tainted face. Lucky for her, she isn’t really looking for a man to marry. She has rather broad shoulders, small boobs (luckily not saggy yet) and an inverted triangle shaped figure, meaning that her hips aren’t that wide either.
Alexandra is a strong woman. She has a way with intimidating people, it just comes naturally to her. Her arms and shoulders are muscular, as are her calves. She’s not one to mess around with, that’s easy to see. The way she carries herself screams confidence and strength. That fierceness, both in her eyes and her body language, is probably the most attractive thing about her.
Personality:
Alexandra is a Peacekeeper in heart and soul. She is very invested in the cause and feels responsible, almost in an obsessive way, for the cause of keeping Panem save. Thinking out of the box really isn’t her forte, but she is perfectly capable of doing as she’s told, which makes her a great asset to the Peacekeeper force. She loves her job and her country, and takes enormous pride in wearing the official Peacekeeper costume. It’s one of the few things that she feels really define her and she can’t even imagine not being a Peacekeeper. That’s why she always gives 120 percent when working.History:
She doesn’t chitchat while working and is very observant to her surroundings. Alex is strict and unkind in her punishments, always following the book by the letter, but when in doubt, choosing the harsher one. She feels no remorse when punishing unruly district inhabitants, feeling like they deserve it. Over the years, she has trained herself in ignoring tears or pleading and becoming blind to most of the suffering going on under her guard. It is a necessity for her to be able to mentally justify her actions, or else her whole world view would fall apart.
Alex hates it when self-righteous people stir trouble in the Districts. She thinks that the inhabitants of the districts should be grateful they are allowed to live in Panem. Even though she believes the districts completely deserve the Hungergames, and that it is a necessary measure to keep the districts under control, she has difficulties watching the Reapings. Alexandra has no personal attachment to any of the teenagers fearing for their lives, she has no children of her own and has long forgotten her family.
But she still finds it hard to watch the tears of young children, as their names are called. She approves of the Games, but personally doesn’t enjoy the method, although she would never be as crazy as to admit that in public. This also means that young children are the only ones with even the slightest chance of Alexandra going soft on them. She won’t ignore or allow crimes, but she might show them the occasional smile, sometimes even when she’s on duty.
To her colleagues and others she views as equal, Alex shows her smart, curious side. She loves games, ranging from simple card games to more complicated games such as chess. Sadly, she doesn’t really have anybody to play with yet, after being stationed in a new district. Alexandra is stubborn and has the determination to push through when others might give up. She will prove herself to her superiors and likewise, she expects the people below her to prove their worth, before giving them any trust. She thinks of the Peacekeepers as her family and will bemuch more willing to help them than to help strangers.
Alexandra grew up in a rather big family, but never really fit in. She was the youngest daughter of the Leifsson family and was a complete accident. Her father already felt like the family was complete, and then Alexandra popped out. The first years of her life were hard, as the family had a lot of mouths to feed and little income. This forced her older brothers to start working at a rather young age. Her father had a way with small smug comments, about how she was only alive because of her brothers slaving away in the factories. He never tried to hide his contempt for his youngest daughter and her mother did not dare to speak up against the man. While this did have an impact on her self-image, it mostly resulted in something her best friend would later describe as ‘an addiction to proving herself worthy’.
Alexandra wasn’t extremely bright, but in class she paid attention to every word the teacher said, absorbing all the information like a dry sponge. She had particular interest in the stories about the rebellion. Not because she was secretly cheering for the rebels, as some of her more insubordinate classmates, but because she felt pride in knowing that Panem was still growing strong today. This was when her dream started to form. A dream of being one of the heroes saving the country, maintaining order and most of all, being a part of something bigger. Something important. An chosen family, better than the family she was given by faith.
During her high school days Alexandra spend time training her body and learning every aspect of Panem history there was to know. She had a few close friends, chosen with care to have the same sentiment as she did. From the moment she reached the Reaping age till the day she became an adult, Alexandra was afraid of the Hungergames. She didn’t want to show her loyalty to the Capitol by dying for an age old debt of the rebellious districts, she had nothing to do with it. She was a good citizen! This was the only blemish on her otherwise faithful following of the Panem indoctrination.
She was accepted into the Peacekeeper program, along with her two closest friends. She distanced herself from her birth family even more and became completely absorbed in the training. Alexandra found out she had a great aim and was found at the shooting range a lot. Alexandra finally felt at home. The regular schedules, the unity between all the trainees. This was what she was meant for. It was a shock when her good friend Natalia was chosen to fast-track the program, but it only made her more determined to try and keep up.
After the training Alexandra was send to district ten, on her own request. She wanted to move away from home as fast as she could. In district 10, she had to start at the bottom of the pecking order. However, she didn’t complain, but instead tried to work her way to the top. In the following years, Alexandra was moved between district quite a few times and finally got the recognition she felt that she deserved when she became a middle-ranked officer. She was moved to district 7, where she is planning to maintain order in her strict ways. She doesn’t want to be feared, but knows it’s better than to be loved for being weak, so troublemakers better watch out.
