Remo Moreno
The guitar that seemed to calm his anxious nerves was back at home. A home that would have been lonely for him. A life where Remo would be alone with nothing but his thoughts to eat away at anything good that he would think about normally. Remo wasn't there though. Remo Moreno, the guitarist, the career, the olympian, was at the one place where he found the one place he felt he fit into. District Four which was now in ruins before him. Tears wanted to fall from his eyes as the beauty that he had once marvelled at was destroyed. Nothing but rubble and destroyed families lay before him. A place that seemed to have anything and everything you would wish for was gone. It felt like the world that he once knew was burning and the ash was clouding his lungs. A gasp that he didn't know he had was let out into the air. The shock of the destruction was killing him on the inside. All of the people that were there were gone. Only dead bodies floating in the salty sea to live in their wet graves.
Why am I here?
The universe replied back to him with the image of his only friend as they split up to help out the District in rubble. Leo Pine was his only remaining friend in life. The rest either disappeared or died within the year he had met them. His first girlfriend had left him without as much as saying goodbye to him. The loneliness ate away at his already hollow heart. Leo Pine was enough to keep his hopes held up, but the world seemed to want him to be alone. Growing up in a life where everyone he knew disappeared over time. It started with his parents, then his brother, then his first girlfriend, and soon after that people seemed to vanish instantly. It didn't even matter if they were friends or people he cared about, Scout Fray had fallen victim to Remo Moreno's curse of a lonesome life. The destiny of his life was to be alone and unloved. A punishment from all the karma that he deserved.
His fingers felt cold as he wanted to strum his thoughts away from the world. The melody would take his mind away from the sorrows and put something more beautiful in it's place, but reality wasn't up for that. His heart told him to follow Leo Pine. His heart told him to keep the man close or else Remo would lose the only friend he had left. The only friend that he had left. Rory was the only family he had. The only family that he truly considered family, even if they weren't technically blood related. That's how he ended up in District Four deciding what to do to help the District that gave Remo more life than he thought he could ever have.
Leo had gone to search and rescue, while Remo had stayed behind trying to decide where he would fit in best to help the people. His purpose for the journey to District Four, but there wasn't one. Remo Moreno had followed his gut and his friend to make sure he came home tohimCharbon Shore. The woman of Leo Pine's dreams and yet, he hadn't met her. It didn't matter anyways so long as Remo and Leo were friends. He needed to man like he needed oxygen to breath. His friend allowed him to escape all the madness that had consumed his soul and made him into a bloodlusting career.
Remo Moreno had found himself a bit paranoid in the world now. A man with no purpose, but to follow Leo Pine around like a lost puppy who can't find his owner. That wasn't what he wanted to seem like, so as soon as he heard a need for a search party, Remo Moreno took a step in his life on his own and signed up for it. The most he can do is help out a new friend that he could make or like his luck would decide, find out his family was on the same mission as he was. A mission to help out District Four for her own reason, just like Remo was going to for his own reason. A smile forms on his face as he speaks excitedly, "Rory! Hey! Are you going to help out too? Wanna pair up to search and rescue together?" Remo Moreno was a creator of his own destiny, even if it meant that he had to do things that were out of his comfort zone. Baby steps were what he needed and Rory would be the perfect help to do something different. Remo Moreno was taking baby steps towards a new destiny, one where the past won't eat away at his heart and leave a bloodlusting monster behind.
