SYCAMORE BLUEBELL
The crashing thunder and the lightning that illuminated the sky, as well as the rain that poured down meant that most people wouldn't be going outside today. Sycamore, however, loved to be outdoors, no matter the weather. Slipping on his coat and shoes, he said goodbye to his sister, Thyme, and said that he'd be back a bit later. He unlatched the door, stepped out into the downpour of precipitation, and then latched it again behind him.
Sycamore loved the smell of the outdoors, especially during or right after rain, as the rain would bring out nature's scents and make them more noticeable to those even with the worst sense of smell. He took in a deep breath through his nostrils, catching as much of nature's scent as he could. Then, he began jogging down the sidewalk, through the rain. It didn't bother him in the least, and he figured that since no one else was likely to be out and about, he wouldn't have to worry about other people getting in his way as he went.
Splish, splash! the puddles beneath his feet would cause his shoes to get more wet than he normally would have liked. This time, it didn't bother him. He continued to jog down the sidewalk and a few cymbal crashes of thunder sounded. The lightning filled the sky, but he kept going.
As he was going, the storm began to calm down until it was no more than a drizzle. He was soaking wet, but still not exhausted enough to stop his jog. He continued moving, and eventually reached another area with homes that were familiar to him. This area was where his girlfriend, Jasmine lived. Deciding to pop in for a quick hello, he went over to her door and knocked.
Waiting patiently for an answer, he stood as the cold rain water dripped off of him. He could feel that it was gradually getting warmer outside as he stood there, too. He could see movement through the windows as he awaited Jasmine at the door.
