Writing Thinks "Says" "Hears"
The day was hot, hotter than he had thought it would be. Sweat falls from his forehead onto the hot ground, evaporating as soon as it touches. Mitchell's hands slide into his jeans' pockets, avoiding the intense sun. His gray shirt sticks nastily to his chest, eyes stare for a bit, but avert once he gives a smile towards them. A blush that he could see forms on the citizens in the square. Mitchell Laws wasn't typically a flirty type of guy, but when he wanted his own privacy, a nice smile and a pull of the shirt to let a draft run through seemed to always work. The day had been going well for the most part, except for the heat. Something that he couldn't control.
The store that caught his eyes was rather average. A good target for him, since he didn't want to have to pull a heist of a sort to get something. A simple stealing from an average shop, no one would notice his tricky hands and a missing item. The outside of the shop looked to be about as average as every shop before that he has been in. The door was closed and all Mitchell wanted to do was walk away and not look at the shop again, but a secret craving for stealing picked at his head. The lashing scars felt on fire, but it didn't matter, his body already pushed open the door to the pawn shop called the Treasure Trove.
The inside was much better looking to the Laws boy, more items that seemed more valuable in his vision. The door made more noise than he thought it would. The noise travelling through the air notifying the person who was at the back of the shop. A boy who was probably a year younger than him was there. A worker most likely, Mitchell's smile fit perfectly on his face. The thoughts running through his head started shouting to him, a craving was going to be fulfilled, This is gonna be too easy. Blue eyes looking around like he was going to buy something, but in reality his wallet had nothing in it. No money to buy the things he wanted, but it didn't matter. Mitchell was strong and the strong takes what they want when they wanted it. The weak suffer, but the strong prospers.
The guy at the other side seemed to be doing the usual things any person who ran a store would do. The brown haired and brown eyed guy stared at Mitchell and he felt himself smile his normal smile. A true smile that he hadn't used in a long time. Something in him felt different, but he couldn't quite put his finger on what it was. If Mitchell was being honest, the guy was attractive. Mitchell was taller than him for sure, by maybe a few inches. The other guy's body from what he could tell from a slight distance and the loose fitting clothing, was rather toned, but Mitchell was stronger. Mitchell worked out for fun with the little amount of items they get for being a large family.
Heart pounding against his chest, his blue eyes catch the sight of a watch that looks rather expensive. Mitchell's eyes wander to the other guy to see if he's looking or not. Not that it mattered, no one could stop the monster inside of Mitchell. Though, something inside of him seemed to make him want to walk out and never visit the shop again. A sensible battle takes place inside of him. Two opposing sides, to steal or not to steal. One overpowered the other and he reaches for the watch quickly, swift hands needed to get the watch and hide it. Heart pounding softly against his chest. The slight fear of being caught filling him with adrenaline. Mitchell Laws eyes divert to a different item in the shop. Soon enough, the looking bores him. Watch hidden in his pocket, Mitchell tries to make his escape. A foot at a time. Slow and steady. Suspicion diverted.
Mission success, or that's what he would have said if it wasn't for him almost tripping on the way out. The watch fell out of his pocket and onto the floor with a soft thud. Mitchell Laws was screwed. A deer in the vision of a hunter. Mitchell was the prey and the other guy was the hunter. The Laws boy would have grabbed it and ran, but something inside made him stay. Something that had no name. Mitchell Laws was stuck, a prey getting ready to get teared up by it's predator. The Laws boy was trapped. No escape. No do over. Mitchell Laws had been caught stealing for the second time.
