What do I look like?
My brown colored hair is the same shade as my brother's and can get rather messy when I don't keep it tamed. My chocolate colored eyes rest under two bushy arcs the same shade as the hair on my head. A natural blush graces my cheeks, and the rest of my skin is of a lightly tanned complexion. Thin pink lips rest on my face, and my teeth appear like pearls. I have an oval shaped face and a square jaw that make my face well defined.
I have a small, thin nose that doesn't stand out too much. My ears don't stick out too significantly. One thing that I think is significant about my appearance is that I have only one arm that's still a physical part of my body. My left arm, however, is prosthetic. I lost my left arm when I was working in the fields of the District when there was an accident with some of the harvesting tools that I happened to be in the way of. As a result of not wanting to stand out any more than I already do, I dress rather casually with a tshirt and jeans most of the time.
How do I act?
I've been told that I'm rather quiet, and there's definitely a reason for that. I'm deaf, so I don't speak much, preferring to sign to communicate with those who understand it. I like being social, but just have a very hard time with it due to my limitations. I'm a rather good student in school, especially in math. I find it to be one of my strongest points.
Due to my disabilities, I get teased a lot. As a result, I'm rather short tempered with those who upset or tease me. I'm very sensitive and will often cry or lash out at those who frustrate me. When I'm not too frustrated with people, I like to relax by myself or with my friends and brother. I read a lot, and do a lot of things that don't involve me having to hear.
Despite being unorganized, I'm very on top of my work. I am very self-confident and proud of who I am. I'm not afraid to stand up for myself the best I can with my disabilities. When it comes to doing work, I am a very determined person. I don't give up easily. When people try to tell me I can't do something, I just work harder at it.
What's my past like?
I grew up with a loving family. They always treat me right, and they accommodate for my disabilities. When I lost my arm a few years ago, they helped care for me until I could get my prosthetic, which cost a lot of money. Due to needing the prosthetic, and it costing a lot of money, I had to start getting tesserae to replace our lack of food. Unfortunately, this means my name is in the reaping more times, making it a bigger risk of me ending up in the games.
In my free time, I mostly like to be with my brother and the few people that understand my signing. I mostly use signing to communicate with others. When people don't understand me, it's harder to make friends with them. I've never lost anyone close to me before, at least not outside of my family, and I hope I never have to. The idea of the Hunger Games terrifies me, as I don't want myself or anyone close to me to end up in the games.
Who's my family?
I live with my father, as well as my older brother, Mace. I've always gotten along well with my family. My brother and I have bonded well throughout the years. This is likely because, with both of us lacking the ability to hear, we've had to sign to one another. I was born unable to hear much, as was Mace. This has made communication with those outside of my family rather difficult.
