Age: 18
Gender: Male
District/Area: Four
Appearance:
In District Four, Climax looks about like everyone else. However, if you were to put him in District Twelve, he would be one of the most attractive people there. That's just how it is when you're from District Four. His eyes are green like the ocean, but his hair contrasts it excellently with its shade of brown the flows long past his shoulders. His jaw line is elongated and splits from the chin at a 45 degree angle.
His skin is light and oily. Due to a physical expectation from his father and his own drive of health, he is slim and muscular. His hands are large and scarred from being pricked a number of times by either a fishing hook or needle and thread. There are a small number of rope burns, but all of his fingers have hang nails and split skin.
He is often wearing nice, new clothing. His hair is often pulled back into a loose pony tail or bun. He owns a couple of pairs of sandals, and a pair of normal shoes for rainy days, but mostly goes barefoot for comfort purposes. His feet are often caked with sand.
Personality:
Climax is the under the radar type. In a crowd of people, he's not going to be in any conversations, but simply by himself waiting for someone else to approach him. When they do approach him, he struggles with replying in more than two syllables. His father told him "The man who says the least knows the most". In result, the young, impressionable Climax tried to be more quiet because of this motto, and eventually it became habit.
Because Climax was spoiled throughout his life, he has definitely become entitled thinking he deserves the things his father gets him. It has cause a number of minor arguments between them, but his father simply continues to buy him the things he asks for. He hates the word "no".
Climax, however, is empathetic. He understands the struggles his family and others have been through, and doesn't like to do things to upset them, such as continuing to fish for his father's amusement. Overall, Climax avoids confrontation to the best of his ability, other than when he isn't getting something he wants. That is the one aspect that makes him snap. Aside from that, he has a large level of patience, and doesn't get angry often.
When Climax is in contact with people, he tries to figure out what is wanted from him. Not so much what they want him to do, but what they want him to be. How should he react? How should he respond? This allows him to leave a good first impression with others, not that it matters, because Climax would prefer to simply be alone or with his family. Even then, he doesn't like to be around anyone at length. Unfortunately for him, his father and others like to be around him, and he can't bring himself to ask for space.
History:
Before delving into the upbringing of Climax, an understanding of how he came to be must first be acclaimed. His mother and father were blessed economically. They were not rich, but they did not struggle. His father was a very talented fishermen, always catching enough to eat and sell. His mother spent hours knitting clothes for their small, successful shop in town. This success, and their genuine love for each other, gave them the security they needed to have children intentionally- instead of fearing that their finances weren't enough for an unexpected child. So, with much excitement, they started their journey towards children. Climax's mother quickly became pregnant, however the child was born still. After taking an appropriate amount of grieving time, the couple tried again. This time around, the story was the same. After two failed attempts, they went into a deep depression that lasted many years. His mother had decided she didn't want to go through the pain again and wanted to stop trying, but his father could not accept this. He convinced his wife to try one more time. She got pregnant and this time a child was born... Climax. Unfortunately, this is still not a happy story, because, even though Climax survived, his mother did not. She passed during childbirth leaving Climax to only his father.Other: His father, his aunt, and Lilly are all up for grabs.
His father was not going to let her death go to vain. He made sure Climax had the best life possible. Any extra money was spent on toys or nice clothes. His fathers younger sister had moved in with them and taken over the shop to help them financially. Acting like a mother, she assisted in spoiling Climax.
Despite being given anything he wanted, Climax like any other boy from District Four, was taught to fish and swim. The importance of patience and silence was instilled into him at a young age. The only problem was, is even though he could fish, he wasn't very good at it. The boys at school excelled in the art and quickly became apprentices. He knew he struggled, so he looked for other skills. He needed to be good at something so he could support himself once his father was gone. Therefore, his aunt taught him to sew. Like his mother, he was passionate about it. It made his father uncomfortable so he only took it up as a hobby instead of a profession and spent most of his time trying to tune his fishing skills, but it wasn't right.
He grew up without many friends, not because people didn't like him, but because he enjoyed solitude. He let few people into his bubble. His father, his aunt, and his best friend Lilly. He met Lilly through his mothers shop when she started to apprentice his aunt at fourteen. She didn't really have friends either, but that was due to being to shy to start conversations. It took a long time before she opened up to Climax. After that, they briefly attempted dating but knew quickly that they were meant to be friends.
Also, I'm definitely worried that the personality isn't up to par, but would like some tips on how to make it stronger.
