M I N O S
Late nights are the bane of him. The reality that hits him when he sleeps hurts inside of him. The one face he doesn’t want to see appears in front of him every night. Blood stained hands. A woman screaming from afar about how he’s nothing but a monster with no heart. That always made him laugh the hardest. He had no heart. No heart to beat to the tune of the happiness and love in the world. No heart to tell him that he’s living and breathing. He had a heart, but it felt useless. Words could not describe the horrors he’s been through in his life, and yet, he still faces them head on.
Waking up for the dream always installed a panic throughout his body. Eyes checking his hands, tears shoved away, heart slowing down to a calm and steady beat. If that’s what he could call it. Leaving the room was a struggle in its own. The tiredness gone from his eyes and soon a new terror thrown before him. Restlessness that he couldn’t cure. Sleep was nothing but a myth to him. Nightmares haunt him every night and the only way he got the little amount of sleep he did was through drugs or exhaustion. Usually exhaustion from pretty women and handsome men, but that was rare around the training center. Everyone was too busy either already having their fun or too worried about their death sentence.
Minos was just shuffling around like a zombie, feet moved, mouth moved, but his brain seemed to shut down. Comprehension didn’t exist at that time, unless Minos fully wakes up from his tiredness, but that was impossible. No idea where he was, as the elevator let him off on a floor. Feet moving slow and steady, until he stopped in his tracks, a victor in his sight. A victor that was hot since the moment he made it out of the sixty seventh arena. Leon Krigel, whose sister was now a tribute in the games. Minos memorized the features from far away, until his typical smirk appeared and his lips already moving, “Hey. I’m too tired to say something about how hot you are, but do you know where a guy could get something to soothe him to sleep?” A sleepy yawn leaves his lips. Eyes stare at the blonde victor, whose floor he’s intruded on. Sleep was his first priority, Leon Krigel could wait.Made by Frankel
