District 10 Female Tribute 73rd Hunger Games | Bailey Truus There is nothing to fear if you don't fear death. Everywhere Bailey looked around the Capitol expectations and stereotypes seemed to burn as bright neon lights. Perhaps the biggest of all the stereotypes which hung over Bailey and several other tributes was the weakness of the lower districts. How compared to the careers they were simply mice caught up in a game for cats. However Bailey knew much better than to fall for the falseness of these beliefs. Knew better than to believe herself as less than a career. Sure they were trained and prepared, but was any of them ever fully prepared? No they weren't, just like the rest of the tributes the careers always struggled even when they were victorious. Which Bailey knew quite well actually hadn't been very often over the past two decades. Now when or where that could shift Bailey was uncertain, but she was certain of a single thing. Since she did not fear death she had no true fear of the careers. All she was towards them was curious. As for the other lower District tributes this year Bailey wasn't sure how they felt towards these beliefs. Yet she really was intrigued to learn which only drove her out of her constant seclusion towards the sword sparring station. There Bailey could see the girl from District Twelve doing her best to master her blade as well as she could given their ever burning amount of time. And Bailey had to admit as she watched the girl move she wasn't too bad. Bailey even wondered if her blade would be one to end the beating heart of a career when the time came. But more pressingly Bailey's curiosity pushed her to grab a sword and padding as she walked up to the the other girl. "I would say the careers have to watch their backs for you. You're pretty good, care if I attempt to join you?" |
