With luscious, silky Irish-setter waves, Arya proudly breaks the pattern of blondes in her family. Her round face, rosy and fair, is garnished with a peppering of light freckles. She has gorgeous eyes; they’re a dark, faded olive-green, sprinkled with subtle hints of gold, and her family likes to joke about how they are almost as freckled as her nose. Her thick lashes and soft full lips are envied by other girls, and often coveted by boys. She is regularly praised for her delicate features and ginger-auburn locks.
Her only insecurity is her weight, although many have assured her that her fuller figure only adds to her aesthetic appeal. She was raised in a wealthy area of her district and can afford to dress in bonny outfits, often preferring greens and golds that complement her hair and complexion. She loves to couple leggings with pleated shortskirts, and she adores baggy, oversized winter sweaters, which she’ll wear regardless of the weather.
Red is bubbly and gregarious. Her charisma has earned her millions of friends, but she’s distrustful and suspicious; her general mindset is that everyone is out to get her, to steal her throne. She’s “popular,” but she regards her friends as competition rather than comrades. She is in perpetual pursuit of praise from others, trying ceaselessly to upstage her friends. Without affection from her parents, she thrives on garnering attention from her peers.
Being popular, fairly rich, and plainly gorgeous, she is sought after by plenty of boys, but her relationships never end well. She will never have to face the prospect of purchasing tesserae. Still, her parents’ jobs leave them with very little time for parenting. Red is used to having nice things, but no amount of “stuff” could substitute for the love and devotion of a mother and father.
