LORENZA AITA
◄ Hurry Up And Get Dressed Because I Want To Party ►
After losing one of her brothers to death's grasp, Lorenza had been trying to keep her mind off of it. She was doing anything she could to think about something else. It could be anything else. Resorting to alcohol and partying, she seemed to be able to think about other things just long enough to have some fun. Ever since her young brother's funeral, she had been trying to escape into another space of her mind.
It wasn't all too common that Lorenza would say no to having a drink or two or going to a party. Therefore, today was no different. The eighteen year old girl had been invited to go partying with some friends. She wasn't sure who else had been invited but she was sure that meeting new people and hanging out with those she already knew would keep her well distracted for the night.
Many of Lorenza's friends called her Za-Za, and that night, she hoped that her pool of friends would grow. She wasn't asking for sympathy for her brother's death. Those who knew about the death were only those close to her and her other living family members, anyway. Za-Za had gotten up late that day, having slept in. She woke up around noon, got dressed into some nice clothes that she could wear to the party, and headed downstairs to eat something. She retrieved some food from the kitchen and conversed with her family for a while.
Time passed, and when Za-Za's watch read six o'clock that night, she decided she'd begin her walk to the party. Trying not to think about much as she walked, the girl simply observed her surroundings that she had seen so many times before. The only thing that was different than usual were the large amount of people arriving at the party location when she got there. It seemed like it was a much bigger party than she expected.
This didn't bother her, however, it did surprise her. She was a very social person, luckily, so that meant that this large amount of people could be a good thing for her. She went inside after pushing through the crowds of people that were outdoors, and immediately started to look around for her friends.
Za-Za looked particularly nice that night, certainly in party-worthy clothes. She eventually spotted her friend who was running the party, Luanna, over by a table where there was punch, alcohol and snacks. Za-Za greeted her friend and they talked for a little bit while having a few drinks before Luanna went off to talk to someone else for a bit, leaving Za-Za alone at the table.
At this point, Za-Za was certainly drunk. This meant that there wasn't much she could do to start a conversation that she'd be totally aware of what was being said. Hopefully, she wouldn't agree to anything she didn't want to. Still standing by the table, she hoped someone would approach her so she could talk with new people. It's true, however, that she hoped they weren't completely sober either. People who weren't sober seemed to make conversation a lot more fun.
