Age: She suspects nineteen
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 1
Appearance:
Perdita Darius was an attractive, yet simple girl. She wore sundress and cowboy boots. Her golden hair was always smelling of sweet lavender and a smile was always on her face. She was very possibly optimism in human form. It only made sense that she was covered in jewelry, given her family's business. Her signature P necklace hung around her neck and many a dozen colorful bracelets dinged on her wrist. She was average everything, not the cliche picture of a rich girl. Her face was not covered in make up. Like her family, she was casual. Everything seemed to be 'go with the flow' when it came to Perdita.Personality:
Jenneth on the other hand, often smells of flour and dough. Her clothes are always covered in a white dust and her taste buds are certainly not foreign to grains.
She owns three pairs of clothing that she washes weekly with spare change. Each item is cheap, but warm. That's all she really cares about. She owns one pair of tight jeans (probably made for a fourteen year old). They fit her waist if she sucks in, but comes up to her mid calf. Jenneth doesn't mind. She owns a flouncy short skirt that comes up mid thigh and is made of an ugly dark green and teal plaid. It's not very fashionable and was cheap for Jenneth to purchase. Her last pair of bottoms are a simple pair of light blue denim shorts that come up to her knees. They have a small whole on her mid right thigh and is missing the left pocket on her bum.
As far as tops go, Jenneth has three as well. A pretty yellow and blue plaid tank top that fits her loosely is one of her favorite. She owns one plain white t-shirt and another red t-shirt that is advertising the city zoo.
Jenneth's hair was once pretty and shimmering. Now, due to her less than materialistic lifestyle the ends are broken and her bangs are getting far to long for her pleasing. Whenever she looks down or bends over, they block her vision. She is thinking of giving herself a simple haircut...just a trim seeing as she doesn't have the funds to pay someone else for the job.
Jenneth owns one pair of shoes; cowboy boots. She loves them dearly and makes sure they're never ruined. She was wearing them when she awoke in the alley. The other piece of clothing that she was wearing was a pretty, pastel purple sundress. It had lace at the bottom and was spaghetti strapped. Jenneth has never dared to put this into the washing machine. It has small stains of blood dotted here and there which she attempts to scrub away with a wash cloth, but no soap. There are dirt stains that come out easily as well. The dress along with the pair of boots are the only thing she knows of her past life. She keeps them kept under her uncomfortable bed in her apartment where no one can see them. She wears the dress every Sunday (the boots every day, being her only footwear) and walks around the city trying to remember her earlier days and possibly be recognized.
No such luck yet.
Perdita Darius was optimism reincarnated. A smile always curved her lips into an upward banana and her oddly teal colored eyes sparkled and gleamed with curiosity. She always wanted to know what was going on. This made her a bit of a pester in her younger years when she knew no limit to Why? or How? or When? A question was always escaping her mouth or a correct answer to another's question.History:
She was brave and had plenty of hope in her. She believed that with compassion and an understanding heart that life drew no limits. Her parents taught her very much of this way. They followed their words and set a good example for Perdita and Sibley.
After awakening in the alley, Jenneth showed her true determination, not giving up and always having a flickering know that someone in the world was missing her. She shows the same traits as she had before the robbery, not changing much, but her lifestyle. Her personality now and appearance just seems to fit her better. It was always odd seeing a millionaire with no make-up and a sundress on.
Jenneth loves family and always sneaks in a free tart or treat for young children accompanying their parents or nannies into De'Dillian's Delicacies. She hopes that karma really does play a part in life.
If not, she's still got her 'give it all' attitude to back her up. Even if her true name is given to her on her death bed, Jenneth would be happy just to know who she really is. Perhaps by then though, that lost name would be dead. She feels still like her old self, but fears that in coming years if answers to do start popping up that she will feel more like Jenneth De'Dillian than her past.
Perdita Darius grew up in the wealthiest of neighborhoods among District One. Her family struck gold many years ago. Literally! Her grandfather (Otto Darius) owned a mining company with the rest of the Darius bloodline. One sunny day he was off to work in the coal mines he saw something glimmer. It was nothing like coal. In fact it was gold! Otto ran to tell his father and uncle who were working on back at the shop. He was only twenty years old (around Jenneth's current age) when he found his family enough money to last a hundred years! Since then, the Darius family has gone into the jewelry industry; designing simply yet expensive chains to sell to those with enough pocket money.Codeword: <edit by aya>
Perdita was born to Abbott Darius (great-grandchild of Otto) and Maia Neith. She was the first born to the newlyweds and filled every ounce of their empty hearts. The apple of their eyes, the joy of their days. Perdita was a loud baby. She loved making noises, but was always quick to fall asleep at the sound of her mother's sweet, melodic singing voice. Her teal colored eyes were always alert though when open. She wanted to learn everything and had every intention to do so. Knowledge fueled her active mind. Sibley Darius was brought into the world five years after Perdita's birth. The now big sister kept her policy in mind. She poked and played with her younger brother; wanting to know every thought in his mind and everything about him.
Growing up, Dita was very protective of Sib. She was always tucking him in before bed and making sure he ate his greens. Her family was all about love and compassion. They were positive and kind. Karma existed in the life of the Darius's. They continued their jewelry business with success; finding more gold as the mine went on and being known for their simple, yet authentic beauties.
Perdita's life couldn't have been all bling and smiles though. Three months ago her family was robbed by greedy street vermin, as some may call them. Dita was struck on the head with a large metal bar and was knocked unconscious. She was dragged to an alley far away. Perhaps the perpetrators thought that that would stop her from identifying them?
In fact it did, though not in the way that they expected their capture to. Dita was struck so hard and cruelly that she lost every moment of her life. Her long term memory was gone. She had no idea where she was, why she was there, where she came from, who she came from or even her own name! Her only memories were waking up in a damp and dark alley, dizzy and with a killer headache.
Perdita (not according to her knowledge) was always one with a plan. She looked not on the dim past, but of the possibilities of a bright future. She was determined to discover her true identity and chose a name randomly, or not so.
As currently nameless walked out of the alley (her head still throbbing) she spotted a nice smelling bakery. De'Dillian's Delicacies it was called. Fresh bread and sugary icing wafted the aroma into currently nameless's nose. Her stomach grumbled and she was drawn to the cute little shop. The staff there was kind and aided her when they saw the large goose egg on the side of her head and her aching body. An elder couple named Jenny and Kenneth ran the shop. They told currently nameless that their neighbor used to own it when they were just married and still young (joyful laughter inserted there). They felt as if it were their duty to take over as managers of the shop, keeping to his traditions and honoring his kindness, passing along his secret recipe in the form of sweet breads and cakes to hungry customers. Currently nameless was touched by their story, and their generous hearts. She decided that she would temporarily be Jenneth (after Jenny and Kenneth) De'Dillian (after the shop).
Today, Jenneth De'Dillian roams the streets of District One with an urge in her soul to discover her missing identity. She works at the bakery with Jenny and Kenneth to support herself and lives in a small, one room apartment. Though the rent is high, Jenneth manages, knowing that somewhere, someone must be looking for her. Whoever she may be.
