Writing Thoughts says hears
Gears grind in his head. Reporters have swarmed him when he had shown up at his company, the wreck of his office being investigated and fixed. The damage was done, leaving nothing but emotions that tear into his heart, but that was a weakness that he couldn't show. The man who had no backbone finally felt cornered like a wild animal. All he could do was continue his job like nothing was wrong. Nothing was wrong. Nothing is wrong. It's the words he'd tell himself until the end of time or until he could truly feel like nothing was wrong. It was his fault. All of it had been his fault.
The hair upon the top of his head was a mess of tangled brown hair. Eyes carry bags that were definitely a sign of the little amount of sleep he got. Her scream stuck in his head like a poison that ached and ached, but never truly leaving. Janet had only died the day before and yet he still came into work, something inside him pushing himself to return to the scene. A sigh falls from his mouth as he speaks calmly to the workers in the company, "Get back to work! We still have a recap video to make for this games. Someone better have got the footage of last night! Or one of you is getting fired. Now leave me to my work." The stern look he had glued to his face was for their sake, not his own. They were shocked just like he had been, but the company had to continue, it would have been Miss Janet's wish. Her only goal was to keep the company afloat and make sure he was okay, but it still hurt.
Everything hurts. Nothing was truly comfortable. As he stares upon the images of the District Eleven tributes, Weaver Rhodes and Iona Holbrook, his mind can't help to go back to Katelyn. Her words had stung like a slap to the face, and yet he still wished the best for her in the future. Harbinger from what he remembered of seeing him for, seemed relaxed, even though his family member had died just a bit before the actual show. Harbinger Rhodes was a mystery, even to his observant eyes. The man seemed to be suffering inside, but outside he was composed and even looked at peace. A skill that the victors seemed to be able to master with no effort. This was the skill that Magus would have to learn soon. A skill to cover his emotions and hold himself steady like Harbinger and like Katelyn.
Magus was only a gear in the machine of it all. A gear that had to continue turning or he'd be replaced in nothing flat. And so that's what he did that day. Workers compiled mountains and mountains of footage of all the games. Magus began to work on a new project, one that was bigger than the rest of them. A project that would take his company to the next step. As he barked orders at workers, the world seemed to bend to his way. The broken man continued his screaming throughout the day. The project wouldn't be for money. It wouldn't be anything like the videos before it. It would be it's own thing. It's own recap of something new, a new era for the videos, only to be seen by the few.
The title of the project was a secret, a secret from the workers, a secret from watching eyes. It would be his own project, using his own vision of what they should truly be like. Nineteen new videos that'd show what he truly can do and not the simple deaths of the tributes in the games before. A new focus for him, only few would see it, only the few who lived through the madness and chaos of the arena's before them. The project's title would only be known by him. Project True Hero was in progress. A silly name for something so serious to himself. Magus would be the gear that they wanted in the machine. A gear that helps keep things running smoothly, but at the same time, he was a gear in the machine of the world. A gear that'd help others with their own things. Magus Argyris was broken, but his dream was being put into motion. His father always told him, no dream was too far out of reach from his eye. And he would do him proud, along with Janet. His dreams were just within reach and he was going to catch them before they fly away.
