Shayden has been described many times as beautiful. She is of Asian descent, so her skin is porcelain white, but without any any freckles. It's flawless. Her eyes are black, as is her long, silky, curly hair. Her hair has some lighter brown highlights, but it's very natural. The way Shay likes it. Her eyes are slanted, and she wears a minimal amount of make-up on them.

Shayden stands at about 5'4, but she it very fit. She is agile and very flexible. She often wears her hair down with a clip in it, or pulled back into a ponytail.

People always say that Shay is very elegant, and that's exactly her personality. She's gracious and caring, and she's very bright. She tries to help everyone and often comes off as a worry-wart or mother figure. She tends to baby people she knows well. She can also be bossy.

Shay works with herbs more than modern medicine. She loves spending time outside in the gardens and sometimes sneaking into wooded areas to gather plants.

Shay is very hard-working and tries not to get side-tracked. She would do almost anything for her family; she loves them very much. She always tries to be the bigger person and just be mature.

Shay was the first-born child of a very respected family of doctors with a long history of success in District Two, the Agatu's. She was shown off because of her combination of beauty and brains. And because she was their first child, everyone doted on her and spoiled her.

Shay's entire family was beautiful. She realized this at a very young age, after her little sister was born. They were also exotic, pretty much the only family of Asian descent. Her parents loved it. But they also worked hard and were rarely home after little Aaliyah was old enough to be left with a nanny.

Shay soon became a bit of a mother hen. She loved her siblings, and always brought them around with her. After a few years, Cedric grew sick of his sister's antics and drifted apart. They remained a relatively close family, though.

Not long into her school careers Shay's teachers learned that she was far more intelligent than most of the other students, even in their professional district. They feel her potential is wasted in gardens. Her parents also fear that this could tarnish their family's reputation. Shayden really just wants to move away and get away from her unsupportive parents, but she can't take Aaliyah with her yet, and she thinks that Cedric would refuse. Once Aaliyah is old enough, though, Shay plans on moving into a flat she's been saving up for.
