Sana Fleur
♥ "I am prepared for the worst, but hope for the best" ♥
Sana rose early to head out to train, and had decided that it would be best to go on her own, like she usually did, as she didn't want to bother the rest of her family with it. She arrived at the training center at about seven in the morning, and it was still rather close to empty. Using a variety of weapons while she was there, Sana wanted to improve her skills. She mostly focused on using a spear, and hit targets rather well when she tried. This was likely because she had been training for quite a while. It wasn't as long as some other people in the District had been training, no doubt, but she did it anyway.
Training wasn't a passion for Sana. It wasn't something that she usually enjoyed as much as some people she knew did. It was true, however, that she figured that it could one day be necessary. She really hoped that that day would never come, though. Reaping day was always terrifying for her and many others. It was something that she hated having to face every year.
The only reason Sana Fleur ever did anything at the training center was so that she would be able to defend herself should she end up in the Hunger Games. She hoped this would never happen, but was still often worried that it would. Her training wasn't as intense as what some other people in the District did. She also wasn't training because she wanted to be in the Games, which as the reasoning for many other people. In all actuality, she just wanted to avoid the Games.
Sana always told herself that if one of her siblings ended up in the games that she would volunteer for them, however, she doesn't know if she'd actually have the courage to do so. Yes, District One often did well in the Games. Heck, they even one the most recent Games, the seventy-third. She still didn't have complete confidence that she or any of her siblings would be able to survive if they ended up having to fight to the death.
That morning, Sana had finished her training and then returned home. She usually went to training on her own, and then would return to spend time with her family, which is what she did today. She had done a lot of work with a spear that day, which was, without a doubt, the weapon she was best with. She hoped that should she ever end up in the Games that she'd be able to get her hands on a spear.
Greeting some of her family members when she got home, Sana then decided to sit down to relax on the couch. She spoke a little bit with some of the others before she eventually just got lost in her own thoughts. She was thinking about the reaping, and how nerve-wracking it was. It always made her nervous, thinking about having the off chance that someone she knew, or perhaps even herself would end up in the Games.
Turning to one of her siblings, she decided to say something.
"What do you think about the reaping, Moka?" she asked.
She realized as soon as the words left her mouth, that it probably wasn't the best idea to speak to her youngest sibling about this, with how nervous she had to already be herself. Nonetheless, she couldn't take back what she said.
