Kirito Miristioma
Victor of the 70th Hunger Games
Victor of the 70th Hunger Games
Time was ticking swiftly towards freedom. Towards a place away from glass palaces and towers which dared to pierce the sky. Across immeasurable miles a woman worked tirelessly as she wondered when he would be returned to her. A woman with a voice as soft as silk and a touch as gentle as the feathers of a swan. Beauty was wrought within her every molecule and she was waiting for him. In a world as shattered and sewn across the broken pavement as this one, she was the pinnacle of all humanity. Within all her being Kirito could find errors of course, but her errors only added breath taking stitching to her elegance and grace. All the things she feared within the walls of herself were the very things Kirito fell in love with the most.
Love was such a perplexing emotion filled with never ending puzzle pieces creating an utterly unforeseeable scene. Every piece was unique, yet in some way they all fused together to combine into an unfathomable picture. It was an emotion so foreign to the darkened hallows of Kirito's diminished psyche it seemed to slip through his fingers like minuscule grains of sand. It was an emotion which formed a list so small in Kirito's mind few names were even written within ink. Kirito loved his Mother there was no doubt there. He had brought her back from the shivering shackles of sickness with the golden shroud he was veiled within upon his blood stained victory. Kirito loved both Katelyn and Harbinger. They were each quite different, yet they equally stand eternally by his side and for that they are nothing short of his most precious family members.
At one point above all others, Kirito loved Ikaia. Yet now his own twin's name had faded from ink to a light pencil etching upon his list of love. All Kirito saw within his brother's eyes was hate, he viewed Kirito as a burden to his life. Just looking into his brother's eyes brought more pain upon Kirito than each of Wyatt's deadly knives. Every time their irises lock all Kirito can question is would it have been better if he had just died. That was why Ikaia was a man Kirito no longer considered his brother. Their link was shattered and splintered. Kirito had tried to fix the bridge but to no avail, it was beyond hard to build a bridge to another person alone. Sorrowfully Kirito knows all too clearly that Ikaia is unwilling to accept that he has changed, only now does Kirito refuse to blame himself. Life changes and the games changed him, Ikaia just had learn to act like the brother Kirito thought he was and actually accept it. Not just leave it wafting with wasted words on winter evenings.
Now there was the new Header upon the list, a sparkling star written within the darkest and deepest of inks. Oasis replaces and overflows the love Kirito has lost within the storm of blood that constantly rains over him. In all of her brilliance she shelters him from the shadows which dance demonically around him. She anchors him from the beast burrowing deep within his soul, Kiri was a manageable monster with her presence.Yet to top the list of reasons as to why she was the diamond of Kirito's eye(s), was that she made him feel human. To her he wasn't a star like he was to the Capitol. To her he wasn't a hero like he was to the people of Eleven. To her he wasn't even a Victor. He was just Kirito, broken and damaged, but a person. A person she could love without fearing the phantom of his past.
Kirito removes himself from his anxious thinking as he continues to walk down the bustling streets of the Capitol. Now more than ever people were flocking to the streets and bars as Justice's victory was still fresh upon everyones' minds. Aside from Kirito, only Katelyn Harbinger and the District One Group of victors seemed to be in the Capitol. The only reason Kirito along with his fellow District Eleven occupants were even still within the wicked walls of the city was to allow Katelyn to finish her despicable show. On the bright side it was allowing Kirito to accomplish the main mission he had before leaving. Yet the one person he needed help from he needed to steal away from her invasive spotlight.
Busy streets swiftly give way to massive studios as Peace Keepers escort Kirito to Katelyn's dressing room. Once there Kirito fear washes over him in no time making it clear her presence was absent. Only after asking ten different people did Kirito get wind of her venture off to style street with Justice. Katelyn had been with him through all the storms he had weathered, and now he needed her once again. So he searched, and he searched, and he searched until finally she was directly before him. "Katelyn," Kirito said softly so no news would be leaked from the possibly monitored shop. "I need your help getting a piece of jewelry. I would go alone but I really cannot mess this choice up." Now it was all in her court, Kirito could only stand stranded as he awaited her answer while him fingers flicked furiously within his pockets.
