on this day, a legend born [stare's birthday!]

So...

Something very, very special happened today.

Exactly twenty years ago, someone very dear to all of us was born. I'm not sure if it was hot, or raining, or maybe there was even a tornado. You never know with America. But what I do know is that the next day, the sun shone a little brighter, and has ever since.

(Yes. This person is responsible for global warming.)

This person is kind and generous and thoughtful, always putting other people before themselves. They will go above and beyond just to make sure you're comfortable, and will stay awake with you if you need them in and shape, way or form. I'm normally fairly eloquent, but it's very hard to describe exactly how amazing this person is because I've had nearly seven years to see it, and putting it all into one snapshot is nearly impossible. They were my first friend here and to this day remain one of the most important people in my life.

I think we know who I'm talking about.

Stare, my love, I know sometimes you don't think you're worthy of this kind of praise, but I know every single person on this site who has ever come in contact with you thinks otherwise. You're absolutely brilliant, and every time I talk to you I'm just thankful that you've come into my life and stayed. Things are hard right now, and they might be for a while, but I promise they'll get better when you have so many people supporting you. And if you think you're lacking in that department, well, look around. You touch every life you come across and never ask for anything in return - it seems unfair that you only get one day in the year to have that love reflected back at you.

So happy birthday to you, moon of my life, and I hope this is just one day out of many where you get all the love and praise you deserve.
