[Day 2] Sabre Round 2: Trumton vs. Andralian

Fresh off of a victory, Jonny Trumton stood tall and proud. He’d sent the District 2 scum, full of “mightier than thou” talk, back to his hole, proving District One’s superiority and, more importantly, thrusting the Trumton name into the spotlight.

It had only been a day since his last match, yet some people has already come up to Jonny to ask for signatures. “These people may not be as refined as those back home,” he thought, “But it’s good to see they know value when they see it.”

Now, as he stood in his spot, ready to take on his next opponent, Jonny looked at his fellow fencer and suddenly felt a wave of conflicting emotions. The boy before him also hailed from District One, so taking him down wouldn’t provide the same pleasure as his first match had.

Nevertheless, the boy was the only thing preventing Jonny from advancing to the next round, so same district or not, he would have to be dealt with. Jonny gripped his sabre tightly, and faced his opponent. “It’s a shame two district mates must face, but we each must do what we can to make our home proud,” he said. “Now, promise me you’ll fall gracefully, and I’ll try to make this as quick and painless as possible for you.”

Conditions set, Jonny lunged forward, ready to take down another obstacle and advance to the semi-finals.
