Vy Pryce
“Much better, much better.” I praise the Youngsters underneath my command. Merely two months ago they displayed to be hopeless cases; yet it appears every day these three boys are proving me wrong more and more, to my satisfaction. The punching targets strapped to my hands actually receive growing force, and my sour knee aches from the impacts attempting to displace me. Life seems to be improving in every aspect now.
Before other Trainers warned me of taking on such challenges. Even their Trainees would gaze at mine with obnoxious chuckles, and assumptions my Boys were nothing more then weak opponents. Currently though, baffled stares witness how they’re overpowering all expectation. They will no longer be visiting Ms. Ruze due to poor attempts at a spar, but rather be escorting the ones they’re demolishing to her.
A wicked grin directs to the few who stressed that I should search for higher Potentials to train. Two of my boys are delicately practicing hand-to-hand defense techniques, while the third is impacting his fists into the guards across my palms to nail me off balance. With the impeccable strength they’ve been absorbing, I continuously have to remind them not to harm each other…or me. And to think prior I had to beg them not to get damaged themselves.
My attention returns to them, only that have a disturbance draw my focus was again. “Ms. Pryce, Ms. Ruze has requested your presence in the nurses’ office.” A messenger informs, and contorts my expression into pure confusion.
A drug test was just enforced upon every Trainer employed here, leaving the only explanation to a displeased result. The color within my face dwindles, though I’m unable to recall the past time I’ve delved into a disapproved substance. Since Kyanite & I have kindled a pleasant Life together, I’ve refrained from illegal activity. “I’ll be right there.” I inform him, with no desiring to have company there. Thankfully he departs without insisting I follow immediately.
“Ohhhh…” The boys tease from behind me, somehow grasping the relationship formed between Ky & I. How they’ve gather our status is beyond me, but luckily they primarily keep it to themselves. “Say hi to Ms. Ruze for me,” or at least for the most part, as they continue to taunt me.
The shields, I remove from my hands, get tossed at them as if to enforce they zip it. “Shut up, and get back to training. I’ll be back in a minute.” I demand, while fear of what’s to come leaves no room to joke.
As quickly as my decaying knee will allow, I limp over to my Lover’s office. Usually my heart does pound whenever I’m about see her, though not in this manner. The breathtaking Brunette is first spotted through the window to the nurses’ station, and I spy upon her graceful working. That camping trip years ago is when I was first enlightened with these sensation. And when we discovered this mutual bond not too long ago, these butterflies found a permanent occupation within me. Now I can only beg this visit isn’t going to ruin what we have.
“Hey…” I great with a subtle, concerned smirk. “Everything okay?... If you found something in my piss, it has to be the painkillers for my knee. And those are prescribed.” I explain myself immediately, while leaning against the doorframe to relieve the very injury I have. I attempt to study her illuminating face, as if to receive that diagnosis before she delivers it. Time stands still. Please don’t allow anything terrible, when we’ve only recently settled this happiness.
