Industria is a rather small girl, even for the age of eight. She stands at just four feet and three inches tall, and is not too skinny, but not too big, with just enough meat on her bones. The young girl is rather fit for someone of her age, too, as she has good endurance and can run rather quickly. Her fiery red hair reaches just to her shoulders, or sometimes a bit lower when she doesn't keep it trimmed the way she likes it. Her hair is usually in curls, and her facial structure seems to resemble that of one of her older sisters, Joule.

Dusty's face is rather round, and her cheeks are a bit chubby, which some people say gives her a cute appearance for a young girl. Her eyes are a light blue, and usually have a soft look in them. It's hard to catch the girl with a harsh or unfriendly expression on her face. Industria has somewhat crooked teeth, and her two front teeth are larger than normal, jutting out a bit when she smiles or opens her mouth. She also has some gaps between her teeth, although she does manage to keep them nice, clean and white.

The mid-tone, soft skin that Dusty has is clear of blemishes, and surprisingly for someone with her red hair, clear of freckles as well. Her eyebrows show up very thin and lightly colored, though this doesn't take away from her 'cute' appearance. Her ears are neither too big, nor too small, and she isn't normally seen wearing any jewelry, aside from a woven bracelet that her sister Joule gave to her. She treasures this bracelet, and knows that when she's old enough, if she ends up in the Hunger Games, she would bring it as her token.

Three words that could be used to describe this particular young girl are creative, playful and sweetheart. Dusty has always loved to play games with her siblings, and has always been very creative, whether that be with artwork or ideas, both of which she seems to be very good at. She's a sweetheart, and sometimes wishes that she could be there for her siblings more often, but as the youngest of the Spark family, has trouble with this on occasion. The girl also gets rather nervous for the fate of her siblings each year, as she knows that the reaping can mean losing them, even if she isn't old enough to be chosen herself. She knows that the Hunger Games are very close to certain death, and that scares her.

It's not often that Dusty gets into arguments. People older than her don't tend to confront her much, likely because she's rather young. It's very occasional, but sometimes other kids her age will tease her. Luckily, it's never too bad when they do, and as someone who's rather emotionally sensitive, that's likely a good thing. Dusty gets upset very easily when something goes wrong, and it wouldn't be unusual to see her crying over something very small, such as accidentally stepping on a spider and killing it, as it would make her feel guilty. The girl almost always owns up to what she does wrong, too, as she has a strong feeling that if you do something wrong, you shouldn't try to hide it. She has always hated the idea of lying, since she was taught that it was wrong since she was even younger than she is now.

Dusty has always been an animal lover. She hates to see animals hurt, and would definitely never want to hurt an animal herself unless it was to survive. The same would go for people, as she would hate to put another person in harm's way. Once before, she got angry and yelled at someone, profusely apologizing afterward, despite not physically harming them. One of her main flaws, however, is likely that she is rather stubborn sometimes. When she's told to do something that isn't exactly the way she wants it, she gets upset, or sometimes even refuses to do it if she can't decide how it's done. This can get her in trouble sometimes, and that upsets her more, due to hating the feeling of doing something wrong. In the end, she really hates her stubbornness, but it seems to take over sometimes anyway.

When Dusty was only two years old, the Spark family lost their father to an early death. Now, this results in Bolts and the mother of the family caring for the children. Unfortunately, Bolts was chosen in the reaping for the seventy-fourth Hunger Games, and they are currently uncertain as to whether he will make it home. This has put the family on edge, more nervous than ever that they will lose him. Dusty often feels panicked without her protective older brother around, and it's made it difficult for their mother to care for the seven children, even though Bolts hasn't been gone for very long as of yet.

The other children in the house are all older than Dusty, making her the youngest one in the Spark household, as she always has been. When it comes to siblings, the one that she is closest in age to is Cal, who's two years older than she is. This means that Dusty is often at home with her family, playing with Cal, although she does get to see her friends from school sometimes, too. Being young, however, she can't go off on her own, and has to be supervised on her way over, and while she is with her friends, which often means that she is with her friends' parents when she isn't home. As for her life at school, Dusty has always been a good student, although she is rather young, so change is always possible. She enjoys going to school, as she likes seeing her teachers and friends.

Dusty has a surprising amount of hobbies for such a young child. She loves to draw, even if she isn't very talented at it, and plays a lot with other children around her age. She's also rather adventurous, loving to run around outside. Dusty isn't by herself often, however, meaning that most of the things she does are with other people. The girl has always wanted to try something like painting, but hasn't really gotten the opportunity. In the past, she's asked Bolts if she could help him with the random tinkering that he does, but she is normally incapable of helping, mostly due to how small and young she is, and her lack of technology knowledge. She hopes to develop more knowledge on that matter soon, though.
