PIXEL BRIGHTEYE
District Three
The sunrise has always been something that I've found to be rather beautiful. All of the many colors that go along with such a thing allow for a lot of interesting colors to mix while painting. I've always been a painter, as it's something I really enjoy doing. It keeps my mind off of my troubles, and makes me much happier with the things going on in my life. I had decided to bring my painting supplies out early that morning, and head down to an open area in the District that didn't usually have many people there. It was a grassy hill that looked out into an open field, and it gave an absolutely stunning sunrise view.
When I got to the grassy hill, I set up the small easel I had brought with me, and took out my paint and paint brushes. I didn't have a lot of time to paint the sunrise before it was gone, but I figured I'd do it while it was still there. I mixed the colors I needed as I went; oranges and pinks were very prominent in today's sunrise. As I painted the scene, it all came naturally to me. The brush strokes were smooth, and when I was almost done, it seemed to be coming out rather well so far.
When I finished my painting, I began to put my art supplies away as the canvas dried. The sunrise was almost over at this point, but there still didn't appear to be many people out and about in the District. It was a quiet morning in District Three. Most of the people were still sleeping, not headed off to work yet. I, on the other hand, was already up and about, painting away. It was a calming thing, painting was. It was extremely enjoyable and a nice way to start off the day.
I got up from where I had been sitting to paint, and took down my easel, as well as my now dry sunrise painting, and made sure I hadn't forgotten anything in the area around me. Then, I began to walk away from the spot I had been sitting, heading back in the direction of my home. It had been nice to be out that morning, but I didn't feel the need to be out all day long.
As I walked, I saw that people were gradually beginning to fill the streets, headed to the factories for the day's work. Luckily, I didn't have to work in the factories. It was a Saturday, so there was no school, but some people were still working today, regardless. I was venturing in the direction of my home, however, when it began to rain. I hated when it rained in the morning. I especially hated it right then, too as I had my canvas painting with me, and didn't want it to get ruined. I began to weave through the people in the streets in the direction of my home, and was slowly getting more and more worried that my painting would be ruined. I wished in the moment that someone could help me get it home unharmed.
