Senoa Ash, Avox

Before becoming an avox:

Senoa has always been tall and curvy and her skin is naturally tanned. It used to be the shade of dark honey after spending hours everyday in the orchards of District 11.

She had a wide smile with a perfect row of white teeth, and bright green eyes. She was very pretty and knew it quite well.

Her dark brown hair had never been cut and came down to her hips, it was completely straight.

Since becoming an Avox:

Senoa is quite tall and bony, thought she has retained her cuves. Her skin is much paler now she is working in the Capitol.

She has straight dark brown hair that was cut to her shoulders. Her light green eyes are large but often narrowed, much to the dislike of the Capitol. She is almost constantly frowning and she has a habit of setting her jaw when she disapproves of something.

Senoa used to be very pretty, but due to her rebellious nature when she first became an avox. She now has hundreds of scars, three of which cover her right cheek, and she now thinks she is ugly.

Before becoming an avox:

Senoa used to be quite friendly and optimistic, she had a wide circle of friends and everyone liked her. She was kind and funny, and did well in school. She was a loyal and genuine friend and seemed to be perfect. She was a little spoilt but never realised this.

Since becoming an Avox:

The death of her family has caused Senoa to completely change. She has noticed how spoilt and perfect she used to be and despises herself for acting like that. All charity and compassion she once had has long since disappeared, as has her good humour and optimism. At first she refused anything the Capitol gave her: food, clothes, a job, orders. And was punished for it many times. After a while, she realised that all her efforts were futile and pointless, so she did as she was told. She never makes the extra effort, all her orders are carried out so they are just satisfactory. She abhors the Capitol with a deep hatred and regards her life as worthless and empty.

In her simple life in District 11, Senoa was very happy. Out of all the district families, hers was one of the most healthy and well fed. She found climbing in the orchards easy, because of her long, agile limbs and school was trivial, due to her considerable intelligence. She was obliviously ignorant to other people, struggling, around her because she believed everyone was as content as she.

Until her elder sister (Tala) helped her friend, who came from a starving family, steal a couple of fruits. The Peacekeepers whipped her and Senoa's cheery little world was broken.

She was only 11 and thought the world of Tala so when her sister told her they had to run away, she agreed, albeit reluctantly, to come.

Senoa, Tala and their little sister Nyar had reached the border of the district when a helicopter appeared in the sky. Tala was shot down and a net was thrown over Senoa and Nyar. The Capitol decided Nyar was too young, she was killed too, but Senoa became an Avox. She is freqently haunted by her memories when she is asleep and wants more than anything to have her revenge.
