Guns and uniformed officials push him towards the Justice Building. His eyes scan back to watch Carter run into Jack's arms, sobbing from his scene of being sent to the slaughterhouse. The peacekeepers push him forward like an animal being prepared to be fenced off and viewed by the public. As the doors open, he watches the walls as they move closer and closer to the room he'll be stuck in for only a short time before they send him off to the rich city of the capitol. All he can do is think about Carter and Jack. Carter who had so much to give in life, a smart little brother who easily could be a great man. Jack who may be fake like Mitchell's own emotions, but still was easily one of the kindest men that he ever had the pleasure of saving from a fire. They were his brothers, no matter what happened in the past, he wouldn't leave without saying goodbye to them. They all made that agreement long ago as kids playing in the dirt and mud.
The desk he sits down at, as he waits for the first person who wishes to say goodbye to the dead, is wood and seems to be a good way to cause splinters, so he puts his arms behind his head, shoes on the table and he couldn't care less. Soon enough, he would be dead in some grave, six feet under, body decomposing if he still had a body. The world would watch as he fights twenty three others for his own life, if he even could call his life a life. Growing up in a hectic home made sure that he felt unappreciated and lonely. How could one man be lonely in a house that was basically full of children running around? Mitchell couldn't tell anyone how it was, but now he was in the spotlight. Uncomfortable already and that games hadn't even started. All he could do was sigh in frustration as the door opened to a familiar face that he had stolen a watch from. His voice felt foreign to himself, yet it still allowed himself to speak, "Jasper."
