APPEARANCE
As a fashion designer and artist, Hephaestus, or as his friends call him by his last name, Gair, likes to be as stylish as he can, making a statement with his appearance. Whether this be the clothing he wears, or the fiery colors he's dyed his hair, he likes to stand out. His eyes are a dark brown, but he can occasionally be seen wearing colored contacts to change that up a bit. He's muscular, often working out to build up his strength and keep himself looking as attractive as he can. Gair has always liked to make himself look appealing, so as to attract other people to him.
Gair's style often consists of dark clothing with colored accents here and there, usually in fiery colors such as red, yellow and orange. He can be seen wearing jewelry, such as rings, bracelets or necklaces, as long as he thinks they look fashionable enough. The rather particular fashion standards he has likely come from the fact that he designs most of the clothing he wears himself. Ever since he was a kid, he wanted to design his own clothes, and now he is able to do that, as well as wear what he designs. He is very proud of everything that he creates when it comes to clothing.
With a strong build, Gair looks somewhat intimidating. He is of average height, but his muscles add to his appearance for the better. Gair hates to let people know that he has flaws, though. His hands are often rough and dry, likely due to over-washing them. He washes them extremely often because of being an artist and working with paint a lot. This results in his hands ending up with skin cracks that never seem to go away, no matter what types of things he uses to try to heal them. Luckily, since he is rather proud of his appearance, otherwise, he doesn't think about this too much.
Gair has dark facial hair and eyebrows, which differ from the bright coloring of his dyed hair. His eyes are somewhat small, and almost seem to hide from the rest of his features. The man's face is rather symmetrical, and the only real part that seems to show any asymmetry is with his ears, one of which seems to be slightly higher up than the other. His face doesn't have a lot of dimension to it, as it seems somewhat flat, with no real prominent cheekbones showing up. With a round chin that doesn't stand out much, he is overall rather satisfied with his facial structure.
PERSONALITY
As an artist and fashion designer, Gair has always been the creative type. He has a love for color and an eye for fashion. As a nature-lover, many of his artistic designs are inspired by the outdoors. Although, many of his designs are also inspired by things that are considered 'creepy', as that's always been something that interested him. Gair has always had a love for anything scary or out of the ordinary, such as skulls and the Capitol's mutations used in the Hunger Games each year. He enjoys watching and rewatching the Hunger Games, mostly to see the mutts in action.
Like many of the people in the Capitol, Gair has a passion for the Games. He always bets on the tributes he thinks will win, and sponsors his favorites. Generally, he ends up favoring tributes from the Career Districts, as they generally seem the most passionate about their spot in the Games, and are usually the most determined to win. Gair has always been the type that doesn't give up. If he puts his mind to something, he won't stop until he's accomplished it. He rarely procrastinates, and hates the idea of losing. Unfortunately, he gets rather frustrated when he can't figure something out. He also has problems with anger, and will often lash out verbally when someone begins to bother him too much.

Whether it's his art, his fashion design, or anything else in life, he doesn't take criticism well. Many people don't expect it, but Gair is also quite the romantic type. When he's in a relationship, he grows very close to the person and is very likely to go out of his way to do nice things for them.
HISTORY

When he was a kid, he lived with his parents, as well as his two brothers. He has a younger brother named Apollo, and an older brother named Poseidon. The two older boys (Hephaestus and Poseidon) were never too fond of their names, but Apollo had always loved his. The three boys have always gotten along rather well, even into their adult years. The Gair family has also always been rather well off with money, since their parents had well paying jobs, and due to living in a very rich section of the already wealthy Capitol of Panem.
Friends have always been in abundance for Gair. He had a lot of them growing up, and is still very close to many of those that he met from his years in school. After he finally graduated from school, he began his career as an artist, specifically doing airbrush art. Eventually, he ended up adding in a career of fashion design. Due to having two rather busy jobs, Gair seems to be busy quite often. This also results in him making a good amount of money. In his entire life, he's never been able to recall being short on cash.
Death has never been something that's scared Gair, either. He's never lost anyone close to him. All of his friends and family members that he still loves and cares for are still alive.
