I told her she was insane. Nobody her age actually falls in love. I'm not sure if anyone ever really falls in love.

But she was convinced she did and I couldn't ruin it for her, not anymore. She'd seem so happy, how can you take that from your family, from your sister.

So I let her mess up, and watched the dumb ass go and get herself pregnant. But I couldn't get myself to say anything, just watch her get her heart broken. 

I held her instead. When she found out. When he left her. When Mom kicked her out. I held her and let her cry on my shoulder while I brushed the hair away from her face.

And then I left with her.

Mom disowned me too, but I couldn't let her raise a child on her own, she wasn't ready. I couldn't watch her fall apart.

Now here I am, no mother, no husband, just my sister and her daughter.

And I realized that's all I need.
