Odes (oh-DEZ) Emilia Damen
District 4
Female
Aged ten and seven years
Without her red hair Odes would be indistinguishable. Her face is plain in looks, as well as in emotion, as she shows little promise of ever beholding a higher standard of beauty, as well as ever giving anyone a chance of what is going on in her head. Her head, overall, is heart shaped, with a defined widow's peak easily scrutinized since she's in the habit of wearing her hair pulled back. Her eyes are large, rounded, and the color of what Odes would call mud; truthfully they are softer than that, and lighter than that, and are especially glamorous in the light. Her eyelashes are very pale, like her eyebrows, which in the winter appear translucent because she becomes much paler. Probably because Odes strongly dislikes being so pale, and having such light eyebrows, with such thin, lightpink lips, she loves her nose (which is sometimes called Greek by her older relatives, though she does not understand the meaning) so much more than any other of her other facial features. Also probably because it is the feature she gets complimented on the most, next to her hair, which grows thinly and sleekly and shines healthily. She only ever wears her hair untied and pulled back or in one giant, loose braid, and it is oft accompanied by some sort of cloth -- usually an emerald, merlot, or bright red color -- wrapped around her head like a headband. Her hair gets tucked behind her slightly small, yet immensely pointy ears. Though most people might despise having ears resembling those of elves, Odes privately loves them for that reason.
Odes weighs in at forty and a hundred pounds while measuring five feet and seven inches. Her body, unlike her face, has never been an insecurity, and she has always been privately prideful of her fit, yet full, figure. Unlike most of her friends, swimming has never been her main source of exercise. Instead, she prefers running and gym workouts, like weightlifting, squats, pushups, situps, and yoga. Her shoulders are broad, and she has long arms and legs.

To other people, Odes usually comes off as flighty and uninterested, which is almost always a misconception. Protecting her emotions from others is one of Odes' newer habits, adapted age fourteen, probably a result of the splitting up of her parents. I know, what a cliche. But, it really shifted her view on marriage and love itself. From the second she was born, her parents did nothing other than love her or each other, but somewhere along the way the latter began to fade, and then, without warning, though with expectation, it finally burnt out. The worst part about it was that they just did not have the money for either one of the parents to move out until Odes turned seventeen, but since she would presumably move out at age eighteen they decided to wait for her to move out. This killed Odes. Nothing was worse than seeing her mom sit home, staring at the counter and grooming their pets while her dad worked extremely hard to make money for the family, and chose to spend a lot of his free time with his girlfriend. Her relationship with her mother had felt strained, especially because Odes sensed her mom felt resentful towards her never picking a side.
.How Odes sees herself/her identity or therefore lack of.
.Her interests and what she aspires to be
History: Birthday, parents description, homelife
.Important events/catalysts in their life (pos and negative)
.That one defining life experience that shaped her whole existence.
