I fix people. I'm good at it. It's probably the only thing I am good at, when I think about it. There aren't many days where I come home from the hospital without my hands stained red, without my eyes heavy and my head aching from the stacked hours of sheer concentration and stress. Yet on the other side of the coin, I wouldn't trade any of it, not for anything. If I am making even the slightest bit of difference then my existence on this floating rock hurtling through space really does mean something after all.

I don't really like myself, if that much isn't already obvious to you.

But I value other people more than I don't value myself.
