Gathered in the training center, each and every tribute looks up to see Gamemaker Cricket Antoinette staring down at them from above. Tiptoeing across a tightrope spanning the full length of the room, there is a sensation of expectation in both the audience and the performer. She has never met these children, but she knows them all. Once upon a time she was one of them. All of them know this, even if they struggle to feel it when laying eyes on one of the people most responsible for their imminent deaths. She knows them.

"You're all boring." There is no joking smile on her lips as she suddenly flips onto her hands and cartwheels several turns down the tightrope before launching herself into midair toward a dangling corde lisse rope. Gracefully whirling heels over head over knees over shoulders she lands on the floor without a sound. Standing amongst them, she is more petite than most despite being at least a decade older and yet her charisma cannot be denied. There is something undeniably fearsome that lives within every Victor and she wields the power of her presence without shame. "Terribly, terribly boring... but we'll fix that. Your mandatory improvisation and creativity training begins today. Each one of you volunteered to be here and —"

In a breath her voice turns softer and wild excitement flares in her eyes.

"— I'm proud of all of you. Ours will be an arena filled with the fierce beauty of tributes who have not come to cry themselves to sleep while pissing themselves in fear, but who have come because you know what you can be. I know what you can be. It does not matter to me who everyone thought you were before you came here and whether or not anyone believed in you. That you chose to try is magnificent and now the world will see. You are legends of your own making, not mistakes of chance." Looking from face to face, there is so much potential. Even as she leaves, the feeling of expectation remains.
