I cut my hair short, as the spirits asked me to. I would dare to
disobey the spirits. It would cause hell for me and my coven.
My hair is jet-black and falls down to the end of the end of
my neck. If the spirits ask me to change it, I will and then my
sisters would banish me from the coven. That would hurt me.
My eyes are almost black, and sometimes my sisters believe
that I am the doorway that the spirits speak from. I wish.
My nose is quite small, and its very pointed at the end, and
then closes over my nostrils a bit, closing part of my nostril.

My lips are usually parched, a punishment from the spirits
since I drank a little too much of my sister's blood during
the ritual. My lips are not very fat, but quite long probably
another punishment for taking my beauty for granted some
times. My skin is a great gesture from the spirits when I was
born. My skin has a pale tint to it, as does my family. My
shoulders are broad due to me working on my family's
farm. I try not to work on the farm that much since I try
to study the magical arts.

I am quite thin, because the spirits ask that I do not prey
on food that should be given to the less fortunate. I believe
I am underweight for my height and weight. That greatly
saddens me, but I will always do what the higher spirits
command me to do. I weigh 111 pounds and I stand at 5'7.
I wish I could weigh more, as do most of the girls in our
coven do, but we will always please the higher spirits.

Many people believe I am crazy for believing in magic. I
do because when I found this book and I read it, it showed
me to spirits and one called to me in my dream. It said to
start a coven and protect the district from the capitals black
magic. That's why we practice wards and protection spell
most of the time, so we can defend ourselves from the capitol.
If I never converted to using magic, I would be one of those
who perished in the war to come.

I can be stubborn so times because most people try to talk me
out of believing in magic and spirits. They called me and I
answered. I am the doorway between the spiritual world and the
living world. So I never and hopefully never will forget my vows
to the coven, and I hope I always protect the district from any harm
from black magic used by the capitol. When people try to make
me stop believing them I tell them they are crazy for not believing
in the spirits that basically command all life around them.

I am very hotheaded. Some other of our coven witches thought
I should represent fire instead of earth. I shouldn't because fire
represents passion, which I have, but also intuition, understanding
and imagination. Earth represents Loyalty, security, and responsibility.
That is what I represent. I represent earth, not fire and I should have made
that sapling renounce her vows to the coven and we should have banished
her for not knowing about the how the elements play in the rituals
and what the element defines, it is simple and everybody has to
learn it before they joined the coven.

I was born to 2 god worshippers. As I grew up and believed in spirits
and magic, not gods I grew to not like them. We had a strained relationship
when they found out I am practising magic in an old abandoned building.
One day when I was about to go to the coven meeting, my mother stopped me
from going, so I had to sneak out. I quickly performed a protection ward in
my room, so she isn't able to get in. I snuck out and learned a whole bunch
of new spells at the coven meeting,

The day I found my first spellbook was when I was 14. It was a cold, nippy
day in the winter of district 10. I had just got out of school, learned nothing
as usual. I was just imagining a better world the whole entire time, actually,
helps me, to be honest. I was walking a quick pace, wanting to get home before
it got really cold because it felt like a storm was kicking in. Then I fell. Dust
covered my face, and now I was bleeding from my cheek. I got up and dusted
myself off. I looked to see what I tripped over, and it was a book. It looked
quite cool, so I picked it up and went home with it, itching to see what was
inside.

At 18 years old, I have quite a story to tell. Well the sad part of my life is
the day I came home and the spell book was gone. I was scared if anybody
else knew how to prefrom spells we would be done for, or we could have
a witches war, which is not what we were trying to do. The whole coven
searched for a week, not finding a trail of anything. I then thanked them all
and went home, to see my mother reading the book on our ragged sofa.
It made me angry, I felt like killing her. I said nothing and went to bed.
If I saw a dream with my mother dying, it is probably a sign from the
spirits that she is to be killed for the crimes that she has commited to the
coven.
