Name: Yoko Higame (Original name: Hitomi)
Age: (Permanently looks like she's 15) 4
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 3
Appearance: Standing at 5'4, Yoko has large, nonchalant eyes of grayish-blue, reflective of a gloomy cloud. Her lightly-toasted tan complexion and dark brown hair can make her stand out. Strands of shiny hair barely reach to her chest, and each hair follicle curl at the ends. She has a tiny nose and mouth, giving her a dainty and doll-like aura. There are no prominent muscles on her, and she is has a tiny body.
A pale green hoodie usually covers Yoko's hair in the back. She likes to have the hood up, and the sweatshirt is a bit too big and baggy, the sleeves reaching to her knuckles and the overall hoodie ending at her hips. Yoko adorns a white sundress that flows down just a couple of inches past the hoodie. Some lace is present on the dress; the straps are extremely thin, like spaghetti. Her feet are covered by tennis shoes.
Under her 'Hitomi' settings, nothing visible changes in features except her eyes: a thin black ring between the pupil and outer edge of the iris manifests. Her limbs and phalanges can twist and break apart - in true robotic fashion - to reveal her arsenal of weapons. The tips of her thin fingers shoot shrapnel, arrowheads, and other projectiles and a poison-tipped dagger while the leg area holds the more dangerous, like a rocket launcher or gas bombs. Also under this setting scheme she secrets poisons and venom onto her skin and hair, so even physical contact can end one's life or send them to a howling nightmare.
Personality: Yoko lets facial expressions do most of the talking for her. The girl can be picky about who can be trusted and not trusted. She is usually calm, attempting to be respective of others and their choices. Yoko tries to be kind and cater to what people she has accepted to trust, giving them what they want as long as she can obtain them. Toughness and an ability to be a leader are present. The brown-headed girl likes to be organized and plans ahead when possible. Work comes before play and folly for her, but she knows that working constantly is a dull life.
On the downside, Yoko is childish in social interactions. If she is not treated with even a little of respect, she bites back with a prank or acting mean in return. People sometimes misunderstand her intentions and motives because of her inability to speak. Though she tries to use written words and faces to get her message across, she cannot replicate tone, leaving her incapable to express any further if she has reached a written limit. Yoko teases individuals that poke fun at her.
History: Yoko does not remember her past prior to living where she is. The earliest memory she can recall is rescuing the pup with a scarve named Aristaeus from a bitter winter in front of a machine. Trying to recollect sends her migraines and a few trips of psychological torture, knocking her out.
Yoko was a cyborg made by the Capitol to infiltrate rebel bases and clean them out through violent means. The scientists had perfected human emotion when her oldest 'sibling' was created; with the emotion programs complete, they could enable the cyborgs to be perfect in social activity and human environment.
Hitomi, Yoko's original name, was classified as the 'innocent' rank. Her untainted and pure nature would draw in people in hopes to protect her, then she would eliminate potential uprisers and rebellious.
The second year after her creation, the cyborg took an unexpected turn: she started not to comply to Capitol orders under increased 'compassion' levels towards humans. The scientists would try to reboot her systems and even reduplicate her personality programmings and settings, but each attempt ended the same. The head emotion researcher at the time, Yoko Higame, actually was the one sabotaging Hitomi's processes and was put in charge of any reboots and re-installations.
Yoko was killed for her interferences; and, the Capitol tried to shutdown Hitomi indefinitely, but the head researcher had planted a bug that if they tried, Hitomi would kill all people and specimens inside the laboratory. The Capitol decided to modify her settings and send her to a District. They disabled her vocal capability and access to built-in weapons and programs. Lastly, the Capitol blocked off her ability to access her memory circuitry, and implanted a desire of her to give herself to tesserae or volunteer for the Hunger Games when they come around.
When she got to District 3, Yoko was not able to begin 'memory' processes until three weeks had passed. The final day was the day before collecting Aristaeus and living together in a house.
Codeword: Muttations
Comments/Other: The Capitol does not know that Yoko's settings will set back to default by being struck by lightening or ways to fry her system. Her 'siblings' and she were programmed that any surgery or tinkering not performed in the proper protocol would end in the person's death. Each cyborg is different in strengths, weaknesses, and how they can be killed like a human, therefore a person knowledgeable in cyborgs cannot be certain of Yoko's weak spots. Yoko is always carrying around a small whiteboard and colorful markers.
