Castle Ruined
Ruineds. Shims. So many other families. They all met fates that weren't necessary. None of them needed to die. No one needed to lose their loves ones like that. Castle need not worry about herself, but she still had other people to protect. She didn't want to lose anyone else like she had lost Pixie and Lorenzo. After all, when someone went into that arena, they had a very low chance of coming out alive. She couldn't tell the people what she thought, though. She already didn't have a high approval rating when it came to the District's citizens, and if the Capitol or other government people started to dislike her, she could do worse than just losing the election.
Castle knew Clementine Shim and some of her family members, so she knew how they felt, losing someone close to them; in particular to the 75th Games. Since she'd known Clem for a while, Cas had started to recognize the faces of the girl's siblings and other relatives, even if she couldn't always get their names right. She wanted to set things right with the Games, but she knew there was no way to really do that in the position she was in. The young woman would just have to find another way to hint to the people that she was on their side.
Dressing nicely was something that seemed pretty well mandatory at this point in the election, especially with how often she was surrounded by the media. Therefore, Castle did what she had to in order to look nice and presentable, and headed out the door of her home. It didn't take long for her to spot someone she recognized the face of, either. It was one of the Shim boys. Should she approach him to say something? She wasn't sure. If anyone was listening, or worse, recording, she'd really have to watch what she said, and sometimes it was hard for Castle to spot where the media was.
"You're one of the Shim boys, right? Hayk? I'm Castle Ruined. How have you been?" she asked him when she went up to the boy. Cas was sure to watch what she said, not saying anything that she may regret later.
