Every once in a while, Sana would go to do her training, only to come to the realization that something just wasn't right. Today, that was the case, as there was a memory that she couldn't shove from her thoughts. For some reason or another, she couldn't stop thinking about Kiara. Kiara was her sister who died a few years ago due to an illness, and even though it had been a while, the memory of her death liked to crop itself up into Sana's mind every once in a while.
Jabbing her spear into the chest of the training dummy that looked like a store mannequin with a target painted on it, things just didn't feel the same. Normally, she felt a surge of energy when she hit her goals in training. Today, that feeling just wasn't there for some reason, and Sana couldn't get it to show itself. Clearly, whatever had caused her to think about Kiara's passing was truly messing with her head. She needed to do something to distract herself, or at least turn the memory of Kiara into a good thing.
Deciding that she needed to stop with her training for the day, the girl returned her spear to its proper storage place, got a drink of water and took a brief shower. Then, she got changed into her everyday clothing and exited the training center. It was weird that something she enjoyed so much didn't seem to be a good enough distraction for her. Though, she figured that this just meant that she needed to try something different. Sana had always enjoyed a bit of shopping, after all, so perhaps that would help.
With the extra cash that she had made this week, Sana decided to go into a few different shops to look around, perhaps buying something if she saw what she really liked. Normally, she wasn't one to be good at avoiding impulse purchases, as the money always seemed to, as her parents said, 'burn a hole in her pocket'. It was difficult for the girl to actually save her money, rather than spending it as soon as she obtained it.
As Sana made her way into a variety of shops, however, she didn't find anything that actually stood out to her enough for her to want to purchase it, until she reached a jewelry shop. The girl had wanted a nice piece of jewelry for a while, perhaps to even use as a token, should she end up in the Games some day. Therefore, as she entered the jewelry shop, a little bell chimed to signal her presence, and she greeted the shopkeeper.
"Hello!" she said, trying to sound as cheery as she could. Then, she proceeded to look around the shop until she found something that stood out to her. It was a beautiful pearl necklace, and she had just enough money for it. Of course, it was rather expensive, but to her, it was worth it. She called over the shopkeeper, and spoke to him again.
"I'd like to buy this necklace, please," she said with a smile, pointing to the piece of jewelry she was admiring as it sat in its spot in the case.
