Darkfire

Oh how the mighty fall.

The line of the Darkfire family are ancient, tracing their linage back through District One's history before the First Hunger Games. A rich man who worked with jewellery had two sons, one with his wife and one from before he was married. The oldest illegitimate boy was named Damon and grew to be much bigger and stronger than his weak and bookish younger brother. When the father died it was Damon who acted first, having his brother killed and inheriting his father’s estate, business and capital; assuming production for himself. He had many children of his own and from there the line grew, and with their line grew their wealth.

Generations onwards and the wealth of this family was at its peak and things had never been better. Business was booming, they had friends in high places and they had a strong generation of careers up and coming. The current head of the house Damon (common name for this family) could never have known what fate would befall him and his family. In the dead of night, peacekeepers came knocking at the manor door, arresting the entire family for treason. While they did not know why they were being named traitors or who implicated them, they were tried anyway. In the end, it was the father and mother who were taken by the firing squad and their lands and assets were quickly confiscated by the district. Now homeless, the orphanage looked to be the fate that awaited the remaining Darkfire children, until a close family friend took them in, generously becoming their guardians and providing for them.

Furious and what was theirs being taken away, the remaining children still harbour ambitions as high and bright as the stars. They will find who made them lose everything and they certainly will not fade into obscurity as many others before them.

Damon - 18 (played by kousei ♚ ) - A strong and natural born fighter, Daemon quickly proved that his place belonged in the career centre from a young age. He excels at making friends and charming people. Naturally, he has a massive ego and is pretty arrogant due to growing up around people constantly telling him how great he his, leading him to develop somewhat of a god-complex despite being a flawed individual. He is too blind to see when people are using him to further their own ambitions. His closest friend is Aegor Bittersteel, their families have always been close and is one of the only people he trusts after his parents have died. He has great ambitions to see his family restored to power, be it through a victor crown or other means.

Calla - 17 (played by lance ) - While not the greatest fighter, she is known for being one of the cleverest members of the family and one of the more beautiful. Wracked with guilt since her parents died, the only person she confides in now is her boyfriend Bittersteel.

Aegon - 16 (played by Noah Vau - D2 (Cato) ) - Even before the death of his parents, he has always idolized his older brother Daemon and growing up, him and his twin clung to the older man like glue. Seeing weakness in his younger brother Daeron, him and his twin Aemon quickly began to pick on him. Laughing when he lost a career fight, pushing him and taking his toys, tormenting him and his friend Alyn, not much is known why they seem to take such pleasure in making their brother's life a misery. Aegon was hit the hardest by the death of his parents, becoming angrier and more distant from the family.

Aemon - 16 (played by mat ) - Even before the death of his parents, he has always idolized his older brother Daemon and growing up, him and his twin clung to the older man like glue. Seeing weakness in his younger brother Daeron, him and his twin Aegon quickly began to pick on him. Laughing when he lost a career fight, pushing him and taking his toys, tormenting him and his friend Alyn, not much is known why they seem to take such pleasure in making their brother's life a misery. Since the death of their parents, Aemon has become more isolated from his angrier and more distant twin brother.

Daena - 15 (played by alex 🐺 ) - Once close with her twin brother, they have since drifted apart to and found other interests. She is the opposite of her brother, taking after her older brothers, she prefers to fight than to read and is terrifying when angered. She is defiant of her elders and a proper rebel, sneaking out during the night, attending wild parties and fighting with other children. She is a defiant storm, her rage only intensifying ever since her parents were unjustly killed.

Daeron - 15 (played by d6a georgie cham 🍓🐢 frankel ) - Smaller and gentler than his older brothers, Daeron doesn't have much to boast about. He perfers charming and arts as opposed to a fighting and would rather have a book in his hand as opposed to a sword or spear. While not the greatest fighter, he still has great ambitions to prove to himself and his family that he is worthy of the name Darkfire and will do his part to bring them back into prominence. He is frequently tormented by nightmares of fire and sees his older brother's and parent's deaths; something that he is scoffed at for by his brothers Aegon and Aemon and mocked for. The main solace he finds is in his lover Alyn who he spends most of his time with when not being forced to train.

Haegon - 14 (played by grim. ) - While young, he shows much promise with his strength and size compared to his peers. Head strong and a downright brat, Haegon wants to prove that he's as strong as his deceased father and better than his older brother. A promising career, he looks up to Daemon's best friend Bittersteel and as a result, has joined Bittersteel's Golden Pack.

Rohanne - 12 (played by Lyn𝛿is ) - She was the youngest and the baby of the family and as a result, was the most spoiled of the children. She's closer to her brother Haegon as he is the closest to her in age.

Aegor Bittersteel - 18 (played by tick 12a / calla ) - Quick to anger and head strong. His family has always been close to the Darkfire family and quickly took them in when they lost everything. He has been best friends with Daemon since before they began training together, always sparring when they get the chance, their fighting skills are basically equal. Already a fearsome fighter, his close friendship with Daemon has made him even more respected among his peers. So much so he has managed to form a pack of careers he dubbed the 'Golden Pack' because they always wear something gold wherever they go. His relationship with Daemon's sister, Calla, has only brought the two of them closer together. He has a strong hatred for Brynden, his main rival and the one who stole his ex Sheira from him.

Brynden Bloodraven - 18 (played by august vance d7b [Bella] ) - His family’s bloodfeud with the Darkfire's has lasted through generations and spilled into this one. While not as strong and muscular as other careers, he is cold, cunning and amazing with ranged weapons -- more specifically a bow. He was the one who planted the false evidence of their treason and will do everything in his power to stop their family making its way back up the social ladder. He has a long and bloody rivalry with Bittersteel, made worse when the man took his right eye in a 'sparring match'. He has formed his own rival career pack known as 'Raven's Teeth' who are of equal skill to Bittersteel's Golden Pack and fiercely loyal to him and his obscenely rich family. They frequently clash and have stand-offs. He is smitten with Sheira Seastar, the only person he has a soft spot for and can melt his cold heart.

Shiera Seastar - 17 (played by eulalie blake 1a 🍒 tris ) - One of the more cunning and beautiful careers. She enjoys making men jealous, stringing them along, sleeping with them and then dumping them. She enjoys watching men fight over her and for her affection, she worsened the feud between Bittersteel and Brynden. Dating Bittersteel and knowing Brynden was equally smitten, she slept with Brynden and left Bittersteel's Golden Pack. When hearing about this, Bittersteel flew into a rage and challenged Brynden to a fight. He fought with such a fury he took Brynden's eye but this did not turn her away from Brynden or help Bittersteel win her back. Now part of Raven's Teeth, she has frequent flings with Brynden but has never truly committed, not wanting to be held down by one man. She is the one who helped Brynden plant the false evidence about the Darkfire's, leading to their downfall.

Alyn - 16 (played by napoleon, d2m ₊⊹ 🐁 ɢʀɪғғɪɴ. ) - A boy of rather a rather modest upbringing, Alyn met Daeron when they were kids beginning career training. They were very alike, both smaller than their peers but both with equal ambition to prove themselves to their family, they became fast friends and in time lovers. He despises Daeron's older brothers Aegon and Aemon as he frequently found him and his boyfriend picked on by the older and bigger twins.

Quentyn - 17 (played by Tom )  - While from a much more modest birth than Bittersteel, Quentyn has proven to be one of Damon's closest friends. One of the more well-known and senior members of Bittersteel's pack, Quentyn is considered a strong fighter in his own right; being very skilled with a sword. While this has led to him being seen as a 'one trick pony' his swordsmanship is one of the best in the Golden Pack's. Seeing the advantage of being such a close friend of Damon and Bittersteel, he frequently uses them to further his own ambitions of rising up the social ladder.
