4th tribute in the Skeletal Trees

There is something extremely unsettling about the forest. Perhaps it’s how the moon casts elongated, skeletal shadows across the barren earth, or how the hollow eyes seem to still watch your every move but whatever it is, you can’t put your finger on it. And whatever it is, it can’t be as unsettling as the two skeletons you stumble across at the base of one of the skeletal trunks- mother and child, their bones still locked in an embrace. You think you see something, glistening inside their ribcages.
