The 7th tribute in the Skeletal Trees

As you walk through the perpetual twilight, you see something glistening in the distance. You frown, taking a step closer to the flickering beacon when you realize that it’s getting closer. A man on fire runs past you, screaming silently as his skin blisters and bubbles away from his skeleton, leaving a fiery skull that clatters to the ground, bounces before rolling away- disappearing.

1-5- You feel shaken, the man's screaming, melting face burned into the back of your mind, the heat of his burning corpse still feel hot against your face. You feel a little hot under the collar but otherwise you are unscathed. (0 dmg)

6 or 7- As he approaches you, you turn to flee as quickly as you can but your foot catches on something in the dirt. You trip, falling, giving yourself a nasty graze- as you turn to look back, you see that the burning man is gone. (0.5 dmg)

8 or 9 - You leap away from the burning man, as he flails past you, some of his flames catch you and suddenly parts of your clothing begin to flicker with flame too! You manage to put them out, just as the burning man collapses into a pile of ash and dust himself, but you suffer minor burns as a result. (2 dmg)

10- There is a moment when you see the burning man sprinting towards and then, in the next, you find yourself in his place as his bones clatter unceremoniously to the floor. Your clothes catch, and you are a flame, desperately patting at your clothes you drop to the floor and roll. You manage to douse the flames before they can consume you like they did the strange man- but you do not come out of it unscathed. (5 dmg)
