on the high wire // blitz {Lance}

    The boy before me bathed in the brilliant brightness of the moon's light strikes no sense of familiarity. A spark of interest does ignite inside my mind as he seems rather reserved in nature though. Not to mention, I've always had an increased appeal towards men with a little rasp on their tongue. A sly smile falls into its normal place upon my face as a new cigarette emerges from my pocket and is lit by my flame. 

    "Want one?" I ask revealing an entire pack of  the sweetly seductive destruction. I've never been the type capable of controlling my addiction to the things that can kill me. Ash angels and wafts through the small shift of breeze down safely to the stone sidewalk.

    My eyes look back towards the tower tents I claim as my kingdom of captivation and curiosity creeps across my mind. I turn back towards the boy stretching my arms high over my head as though reaching for the sky full of shimmering stars. "Did you see the show?" Even more curiosity swells in my thoughts as I silently wish his words some how discuss my act.

    Amusement enlightens my smile as my hands fall from their extension towards the ethereal entities above. Something about the boy before me draws in every aspect of my interest, piques my constant curiosity. Everyone of my cells surges with the energy of my slight smirk as red runs over his cheeks. Each shines so softly in the dark of the night., innocence absolutely addicting to be exposed to.

    As I stand beneath the shining stars sharing space near his side my mind can't help but find moments of my past in this instant. I recall my own ways when I was younger left behind by those who were meant to love me. I always stayed innocent though, and it is nice to find another. Even if he is more secluded...

    My hands take hold of a nearby pole as my body leaves the cold stone sidewalk and I hold myself up in a perfect split. "No I can't see it." I say soon heaving my weight from the pole and back flipping once before firmly landing on the ground with my heart heaving in my chest. "I'm in it." I take another breath of sweet smoke from the cigarette I've managed to keep safe this entire time.

    Star light shines softly in his stare which for the first time holds in my direction. His eyes are breath taking, a smile spurs again on my face through the fading spirals of smoke. I long for his stunning spheres of vision to hold their current trajectory, but I refuse to allow such a wish to be visible aside from the sustained smile. I can't remember the last time I've wanted to be watched this way by another person. I can't remember if there ever even was a time. 

    I give a soft shrug as I use a simple cartwheel to get slightly closer to him again. I'm not entirely sure what it is about his awkward ways that makes my heartbeat quicken but I know I don't want it to stop. It makes me feel like I'm soaring over the ground without taking off. Its addicting.

    "That's just party tricks I use to get attention really." My words suddenly make me blush for the briefest moment. I swiftly attempt to recover my ground. "In this District a lot of people can do that."

    Every speeding second standing with this practical stranger beneath the lunar light, I become more captivated. I can feel my heart hammering as again his eyes avert my own. Is it so wrong I want them to look at me again? Is it wrong I want to swim again in the shine of his stare? A final breath engulfs the end of my cigarette as I send circles of smoke towards the starlit sky. What is this sensation that I'm feeling?

    Dangerously I draw nearer, closer to the thing which calls my curiosity and absolute attention. I don't want to make him uncomfortable, but I just can't control my need to get closer. Addiction is a devil I call common, and he's the finest drug there is.

    Soft spoken I smile letting light from the nearby post just barely fall over my face and illuminate eyes. "Not at all, there are a lot of people who can do that. But we are not any where near a majority." I force myself to break away from the terrible temptation which is demanding my movement forward. 

    My body bends in three backward handstand flips before I finally stop and sit atop the nearby fence circling the tent. "Plus, I'm sure there's plenty of other things you can do." Another fresh smile slips across my slightly reddened cheeks. "The name's Creed by the way. We've been talking long enough for me to introduce myself."
