[attr="id","teddyText"]Escape. That's what he wanted right away from it all. Capitolites that speak too highly of him for being a killer among the innocent. They praise him for his win and whisper secrets behind his back of what drives him. All of them trying to stay upon his good side to find out the truth to Theodore. Handsome face and charitable heart were his strengths, but all he could feel in his chest was the faces of the relatives of the lost. Names that are coated in pain from the past in their eyes. Krearns, Aita, Pelotte, Lumiere, Shim, and so many others that he could name. Eyes scanning from table to table, until he escapes to find a moment of air from it all. Eyes on the victors like heroes, monsters, and everything on the scale of horrible and greatness.

They were nothing more than animals behind imaginary cages being watched by all. Feed reminders and lies in their ears as they find a way to live with themselves. Ansel Khiev was in a coffin, his photo given by the one sole survivor. A girl who suffers from the killing that she did, but wanting to live overall. A lifetime of suffering as she put it was better than death. An idea that comes across his mind, but never sticks. Death seemed better than living with the guilt that they hold on their chests. Benito Aita decides to come around a corner, probably looking for less eyes to follow him around. Teddy's hand is around a glass of champagne given by an avox. Glamour Kinkade still fresh in his mind as he lets the niceness fall from his face.

Benito Aita

Being invited to the Capitol hadn't exactly been what I'd hoped for when I received the letter that day. Although, as the only living child of the Aita family, my parents wanted me to at least be the one to have a good experience with the Capitol. Apparently their idea of a good experience was having me go represent the remainder of our family at President Snow's birthday party. I wasn't going to argue, though. I was just relieved to be out of the house for a little while, and to get some positive recognition outside of my family.

At least, I thought things would go positively. That was up until I saw a face that I never wanted to see again. It was Teddy Ursa, victor of the Seventy-Sixth Hunger Games. He'd assisted in killing my sister, Lorenza, and I didn't want anything to do with him. I'd told him that things wouldn't end well for him if we encountered one another again. Unfortunately, this time, we were in the Capitol, and if I acted out too much, something was bound to go badly for me.

"Can I help you?" I snapped back at Theodore when he spoke to me.

A threat to hurt him, but it wasn't something that could happen in front of the capitol and the rest of the districts. There's a moment where he can come up with the fact that it was everything he went through, day in and day out. How he wished for anyone in the districts to understand what they went through because of the blood on their hands. The value of a name to the capitol just like Ursa and Aita. Important in every single way possible as it creates drama, a story, and expectations of a person. A sigh comes from his throat as Ben speaks, harshness in his tone.

"Can I help you?"

Help. All Teddy ever wanted was help, but all he could imagine was the lack of help that he could give Ansel Khiev, even though Jacinta Salazar was a fantastic woman who knew that there was a lifetime of suffering that came with the crown. He still wanted to bring back a Six that could work with him, but things never go the way he wanted it to. Someone like Cynthia Rose Delgado comes along and ruins it all. A smile pulls onto his face as a friendly tones comes from his chest. A smile to a capitolite across the room as he looks back to Ben.

"Just wanted to say hello to the guy who threatened me. How's your time here going?"

The words that flowed from Theodore made me want to punch him. He had mentioned the fact that I'd threatened him before, but I had to ignore it. It wasn't what I wanted to talk about with him right then. Then again, I didn't want to talk to him at all to begin with. I looked him in the eyes with a stern gaze when he asked me how my time there was going.

"It was going fine until you showed up," I said. "What's with the sass, by the way, Ted?" I didn't know if he ever went by Ted, but if it bothered him, things would just be all that much better. If I could irritate Theodore Ursa without being too obviously angry in front of the Capitolites, I'd have had a successful tea party.
