He never thoroughly understood the meaning of having friends. There was Roisin, his lab partner, but she was forced in to a situation, it wasn't voluntary. Kameron Venn was nice, he supposed, maybe he would have considered her his friend if she didn't yell and poke fun at him all the time. Pepper and Tony said the whole family was his friend, but to Jarvis, trying to throw therapy forcefully down his throat did not appear very nice.

There was only one person that Jarvis Botts could not come up with a reason for to deny their friendship. Orianna, the girl who he spent one morning with, as the sun rose up. He was happy and tranquil then, but then he never went back to the top of that factory again. He did not want to overstep on her personal space, and that meant keeping his distance. He wondered, however, was she his first true and unforced friend?

”JARVIS!” Clever shouted to him from the outside door all the way to his room. Instinctively, he threw words back. ”Ping!”

He practically ran to the door because it was rare to get visitors. He cut past his brother and saw.. conveniently.. Orianna.

”Orianna! I was just thinking about you!” His chosen words were probably the dullest apple in the basket, but he didn't know any better. The possibility for a true friend was unreal, and he took the opportunity seriously.

Her cheeks turned almost as rose of a color as Pepper’s hair, and it made Jarvis smile when she began to talk. ”Lucky timing, I guess,” her eyes look down as she speaks, and his follow. Within moments though the look back up and so do his. The sky blue that wraps around her pupils made Jarvis smile, a lot.

Her hands go through her hair before she speaks again, apologizing for how she didn’t announce her entrance. ”I just haven’t seen you around.” He hadn’t seen her at all either, but that was on him. Tony was always a gentleman with Pepper, and so Jarvis took the role here as well.

”Well I haven’t forgotten about you. Looks like we missed our good old sunrise though.” The sun’s height had already reached midday.

”Wanna go on a walk instead, maybe?” His cheeks were now red like hers, but he didn’t know what it meant. Was it friendship, or perhaps more than that?

Her face fell into the warmth of her scarf as she agreed to the walk. ”I guess that works. Shall we go?” He felt like a huge spark bounced upon his skin. But it wasn’t electrocution, it was the frigid weather telling him to put on some proper clothes. ”Yeah, let me get better dressed.”

As he finally picked out the right winter attire, he began to rush out. But Jarvis saw something as he rushed past the mirror. It was his in his hair. Frantically running his hand through it, Jarvis tried to fix it as quickly as possible to be more presentable for Orianna. It was the first time he found himself caring so much for his appearance. Brushing the outlier strands of hair into his beanie hat, he tucked his hands in his jacket pockets and met back with Orianna.

”Sorry it took so long. Couldn’t find my, uh,” Jarvis paused for a second, trying to think of an article of clothing that he could use an excuse. ”My pants.”

(Jarvis minus minus.. for being an idiot!)

”My good pants, I mean.” He smiled, laughing the awkward comment off.

”Shall we go?”

”I’m sure that’s what you meant,” Orianna Eckhart spoke to him, and even with only six words to listen to, Jarvis kept his ears glued to her words at each step of the way. She debunked his lie, but he didn’t comment much on it as she wasn’t too upset. Orianna made Jarvis comfortable and relaxed, like Tony or Pepper coming home from a long day at work. Peace of mind, tranquility, happiness.

”Lets,” she took steps off of the foundation of the home and out to District Six, and head over heels Jarvis followed her on their walk to who knows where or how long.

The eroded streets of Six made for a ton of bumps in the road as they made their way through the District. He looked at her beautiful brunette flowing hair and smiled before turning a somewhat quiet walk into a conversational one.

”It’s cool, you know, that you traveled all the way to my house to see me,” he said as they continued to bounce down the undeveloped road. ”Don’t think anyone’s done that with good intentions before,”
