[googlefont="Joti One:400"]The Zontini Family
In ancient times, sand blew across the land and pyramids stood tall as deities reigned over the people and were worshipped greatly. Slowly, however, as time went on, their power began to fade. The people no longer made sacrifices to them or statues in their honor. No, they’d eventually been forgotten. There was no bringing them back, either. As their followers vanished, so did they. With no one to believe in them, they could no longer exist.
In present times, wind blows across the fields of District Eleven as the people who live their harvest crops as they were ordered to do by the Capitol. The Zontini family, however, thinks this is below them. They think of themselves as Gods, and are even named as such. Imhotep, Khonsu, Horus, Serket, Thoth, Bastet, Shu, Geb, Set, Anuket, Hapi, Nephthys, Osiris and Anubis are the children of the Zontini parents, Ra and Tawaret. They all insist that people respect them, as they are quite a wealthy family. Their wealth comes from their father’s many fields he owns and pays people to harvest from. Then, he sells the crops for even more money, only further increasing the family’s profit.
Respect is what the Zontini family demands. If they are not given it, it’s likely they’ll get quite angry. The majority of the family is quite friendly, as long as you are respectful towards them. If not, however, they have quite the strong wrath. No matter how much all the siblings argue at home, they get along like angels in public, always wanting to keep their perfect image.
No one is to taint Panem’s picture of the Zontini family.
OOC Note: These characters are not actually deities of any sort- they simply view themselves as such.

As many of you likely know at this point, between the REs, maps and mutts I’ve created for various Ratmas events, I’m quite obsessed with Egypt. I made Horus Zontini as a character quite a while ago and I really wanted to expand his family if people were interested. He’s based on the Egyptian God by the name of Horus, and I’ve named his siblings the same way. Now, of course, in the Egyptian deity family tree, lots of the deities in this plot wouldn’t be siblings. Instead, many of them would be related in different ways (parent and child, husband and wife, etc). I’m not, however, making it this way, as I wanted the chance for the family to be bigger.
I have named each character after particular Gods and Goddesses of Egypt. The only requirement when creating these characters is that you make sure that they are at least somewhat like their respective deity, in that they would make sense to be the God of something. For example, if you choose Serket, Goddess of scorpions, she can’t be terrified of scorpions. It’s pretty easy to make sure that you don’t make their personalities contradict themselves, as I’ve listed what they are the God/Goddess of next to their names.
Without further ado, please, let me know if you’d like any of these characters! You can fill out the form here or ask me on slack to join the plot!Your Name/Alias:

Another note: If you want a character who's based on an Egyptian deity not listed on here, let me know, and I'll consider adding them!
