The wind whistles outside her window. The freezing air causes frost to fog up the glass pane of her window. The orphanage wasn't as bad as she thought it was going to be. Everyone here is broken in some sort of way. Some have lost their whole family, some just left on the doorstep of the orphanage. She lost her mother, but her father was gone before she was born. Freya is broken in many places, mainly her heart. Her mother was there for her when she needed it, but now the motherly touch that once stop the tears is gone. Freya was like a porcelain doll, she's delicate, one slip up and she'll crack. But her mother's death was like a fall, the doll got broken, just like Freya's heart.
She get's up from the chair and wraps a jacket around her torso. The weather was more than freezing, she needed all the warmth she could get. Boots and gloves are slipped on after. The presence of other life in the corridor was absent, only the sounds of Freya's feet were present. Her boots make sounds that echo off of the walls, bringing a small smile to her face. A sign of joy, a rare sight to see nowadays.
Then she hears a soft, but husky voice. A voice that she knows she heard before, but cannot but her finger on it. She turns the corner and she knows who it is. She has seen his face many times since the 76th Hunger Games. The first victor from district six in forever. Teddy Ursa. She hears he's rich now. Cha-ching. Hello Mr. Richie pants. You walk over to him, a smile on your face.
"Well, what is someone like you doing in the orphanage, Mr. Ursa?"
