I took a deep breath as I tested more of my endurance around the training center. This time I was just running around in the giant track like field that they had in here. It looked weird, to have a giant circle encompassing the entire training center floor. However, I wasn’t going to care that much about the construction that the capitol chose. I knew they changed it every year to encompass what they needed out of the training center. I still couldn’t quite place my finger on what they were planning though. For all I knew it could have been anywhere, and as long as it wasn’t that Halloween themed arena, I didn’t care where it was.
I would learn how to adapt, just like I learned to adapt when my parents died. I had a quickly transition into adulthood. There was Marley of course, but there were also many other kids that I had to take care of as well. The foster mom was around, but I didn’t think it was enough to be beneficial to the kids growth. There would be long nights where I would stay up with each one of them just to make sure they got to bed the way they liked to sleep. Of course, there were a few that were pretty self-sufficient, like Rogue, who hated interacting with anyone. I couldn’t relate to a girl like that, and sometimes I wished I could have slapped the shit out of her and tell her to lighten up, but that wouldn’t have been a good idea. The thought made her chuckle a little too much in her head. So much that she lost control of her feet and ended up tripping over them and falling on the ground.
She sighed, knowing that there was probably someone that just saw her eat shit. However, she really wasn’t in pain. She felt like she usually did, oblivious to the situation but also aware of the reality that she was in. Maybe she just needed to take a small break and watch everyone. They were going to make her do anything because honestly, if you did nothing here, no training that is, that was your choice. How you faired in the games was reflective of what you did in here. So Bella would be crazy to not at least give her hand to a couple of the things here, even if she was only good at a handful of them. She could at least learn the basics. What she did from there was pretty much up to her.
At the end of the day she knew that she was a piece of meat to some of the people here. And that was something that she was going to have to compartmentalize if she was going to do anything notable in the arena.
However right now, she just wanted to watch the show, and if that made her look like she was weak, she really didn’t care. If anything she was studying, something that she was always good at.
