Stars glitter across the sky of the rooftop with an ease that he's never known. Always glimmering above reminding him of the sleep that his brothers would hopefully be getting, reminding him of his ma who deserved a goodnight of sleep, and his pa who easily was still awake playing solitaire in a corner with worn cards. Jed would be silently snoring away in the room that they inevitably had to share at a young age. The night air of the Capitol was different in essence to home. Tension rises to the surface with a cooling effect, but fake skylines fall before his eyes. Everywhere he looked to was just another reminder that things were different. No dust or dirt to cover his jeans, no sun baking him alive in heat, and no sound of hooves along the hard dry ground.
The capitol only made him miss home more and more by the second. The stars being the only thing that wasn't different for him. A piece of home that glitters above down to him reminding him that he needed to get back to them. Moments seem to pass as he knocks back another glass of something sickeningly sweet that he's into. Whispers of the past brushing against his skin as the words of the present come forth. Everything was changing, but he wanted it to stay in that moment forever. A moment that could just be that. A sigh comes from his throat as he hears footsteps approaching from somewhere else. Blue eyes that match the sky look to the sound.
The male from Seven appear before him, possibly lost, possibly not, either way he didn't care. Misery loved company as his pa would have said. A chuckle happens mentally for only Caine to hear as he gets up slowly with a small smile. The male from seven, Raven, as he remembered just in that moment was not what he expected. Attractive was a word to use, but he wasn't in the right mind to declare anything anyways. Sorrows hiding in his chest as the homesickness takes a hold of him. A chain that wraps itself around his chest and pulls with all the force that takes the air away from him. There's no words to be spoken as Caine moves to the edge, leaning against the bar that keeps them from getting past.
Fear doesn't belong in his eyes, so he ignores the feeling coming up as he pushes forward looking farther over the edge. The air picking up as he does with a gust of wind that almost takes his hat, but he holds the tan thing hard against him head. A chuckle to no one in particular as he speaks to Raven, the male from Seven. The thought of the dumb games that his brothers and him used to play as teenagers in school with a few girls that tagged along.
"Truth or Dare, Seven?"
