Age: 17
Gender: Male
District/Area: Two
Appearance:
Because he has been trained, Bryson is very fit. He is muscular, but not to the extreme. He has white skin that tans in the sun. He's about 5'11 and is a healthy weight. His hair is short and dark brown. He has light blue eyes and a straight smile. He often wears navy blue sweaters and black pants, or just whatever is comfortable. Bryson is practically built for throwing somewhat heavy weapons. Overall, he's a healthy kid.
Personality:
Because of the way his biological parents raised him, he is quite humble. Bryson values others before himself. He knows that the people that are killed in the Games each year are being punished for a crime that they didn't commit. Bryson views the Games as horrible and cruel, knowing that the tributes are kids, and they're not just sleeping, they are dying. He learned empathy after the death of his parents, because he knew other people who lost their family members in a variety of ways.
From his experiences, Bryson learned to be loyal. He always had the backs of his friends whether it was from his early childhood, or later in his teen years. He also developed the trait of selflessness. He always thought of others before himself, especially when it came down to those he knew best. After many times of lying, he learned that it is best just to tell the truth immediately, because you get in more trouble when you lie. The other valuable trait he learned was to stay strong through difficult times. From the Lane family, he learned confidence. He learned the value of strength and friendship. Bryson learned to be efficient in what you do and to have determination. He also learned the importance of cheering for your family throughout their challenges.
Overall, he is humble, but always remains strong. He does hate the idea of the Games, but doesn't show it because his parents would "kill" him. The one consistent thing about his personality is that it's always somewhere in the middle.
But Bryson also has flaws. One thing nobody ever taught him was how to plan things out. He always would jump right into something, and it wouldn't turn out well. He also judges people a lot. Bryson often blames himself for his parents' deaths, although he has no reason to. He also gets nervous that his adoptive family will find out how much he hates the Careers, and also worries about his best friend being forced to volunteer. The last thing is that he's very hot-headed. If you insult him, his family, or his friends, he will likely get angry and try to punch you or something along the lines of that. Nobody is perfect, and neither is Bryson.
History:
Bryson was born on a rainy April day to two loving parents. They raised him to be a kind and respectful kid. Unlike most families, they weren't very prideful. Overall, he was a normal child, except for his views. But tragedy struck when Bryson was ten. There was an accident in the blacksmith workshop, where his parents worked. Mr. and Mrs. Myers got severe burns and later passed away of their injuries, so Bryson had to find a new home.
It took months for Bryson to find a home. In that time, he was very lonely and sorrowful. He often worried that he'd never be able to find a new family, and was tormented by other kids because he was an orphan. He would get very angry and would often try to prove that he wasn't one to be picked on, so he would punch them. On one hand, it stopped the bullying, on the other hand, his temper worsened. But things eventually got better.Bryson was adopted by the Lane family. They were quite the opposite of the Myers. Both parents were in the Peacekeeper Force. They already had another adopted son named Julius, who dreamed of becoming a victor. With the coming of a new family, he was sent to a Career School to train, which was very tough for him, because he disagreed with the entire philosophy of the Careers. But he met a girl named Maia Brown, and quickly became good friends with her. They would talk to each other and make the other one laugh. It was a tough switch, but it was well worth it.
