ROSE SMITH
Age: 15
Gender: Female
District: 12
Appearance: Natural long and wavy ginger hair, large emerald green eyes,
a pale and rounded face. Has very little strength, only strength from running.
Skinny and around 5'4.
Her clothes are usually baggy and the same dreary colours. Grey jeans that just about fit her, a black sleeveless top with a brown jacket over it. Her shoes are worn out brown boots, reaching just above her ankles.
She's a pretty girl, but, she believes opposite. Every morning she looks at herself through a dirty, cracked mirror despising each part of her. Thinking she's too skinny, dirty and weak. Every time she thinks about the Capitols fashion and wealth, anger boils inside of her. Rose is kind, affectionate towards the ones she cares about, courageous though denies it, sarcastic, witty and creative.
However, like all human beings, she has her flaws. She can be nosy, and often finds herself drawn to conversations nearby. Her insecurities gets the best of her, forcing her to shut herself off from new things.
History:
Rose Smith had always remembered a story her mother had told her long ago, when she was just a small child. Her mother had sat her down in their dark, worn down living room and told her the story of a man who fought hard to make his family healthy.
Each day he would go work in the mines and work for hours, along with many other men. He would come back home with only a little money, but he would spend it on a single piece of bread. Instead of taking a bite of bread for himself, he would always tear it in halves and give a piece to his wife and daughter. He did this continuously for the next year and a half, until, the fumes of the mines and the lack of food only made him sick. Nothing could be done and he peacefully fell into a deep sleep. Even now, he would be dreaming about making his family happy.
As a child, her mother would reiterate the same story to her every night before she went to sleep. At 11 years old, Rose realised it was her father the story was about. Which only made her adore the story even more; it was one of two things she had left of her father. The other object, is a silver necklace with a dove pendant; a symbol of peace. He had given the necklace to her mother, but had said to give it to Rose as a reminder of his love for her. Rose has kept it with her everyday.

Rose attends school like any other under 18 year old in District 12. She is a friendly student that talks to many people throughout the day; especially with her classmates. Her life in the district is usually the same routine; wake up, go to school (where the capitol attempts to brainwash them) check the market, go home. Sometimes she would help out the elderly walk home, or with anything they needed help to carry.
